I'm not going into specifics on a message board but when acquiring about the remaining October 2010 revenue from one of my companies, I was told at the Affiliate Summit by an Epic Vice President "we're not paying you a fucking dime." He was very hostile and unprofessional (to the point where I felt he was almost in my face).

I'm a nice guy and willing to work with anyone but for them to actually become hostile/aggravated when I'm the one that's owed $ is pretty unfair to me. We'll see what we can workout, but it doesn't look good. Sucks because they used to be one of my favorites.

Same boat here. They still owe me 3 months worth, high 5 figures total. Any networks that pay weekly feel free to PM me. I have good toolbar traffic i can send your way.

So many 2nd-tier networks are gonna get fucked when they go down. So many major networks broker half their offers from Epic, and for a lot of major advertisers, Epic's the only network they work with...

Erm... hate to tell you this, but they're making money out of sending you that "free gift". lol.

To an extent, but say Epic & all the 2nd tier networks were to go.. that'd leave what? Neverblue, maxbounty, ads4dough.. That's the only 3 major non-specialist networks I can really think of that don't generally broker their offers. That's a pretty big lack of choice.

Yeah just got the 50k publishers email....they should have sent an email explaining this payment situation

lmao,

Why don't they send an email explaining the payment situation??? Their silence is deadly.... They need to get out in front of this thing and explain what's happening and why and how they will fix it... Perhaps they can't.... (It's sad that they won't...)

Wow classic they send an email Celebrating 50,000 publishers. What kind of message does that send. To an advertiser it "Allegedly" says we have reach. But to a pub it "Allegedly" says your just a number and we will treat you like one. This is just my opinion without direction to any specific company or person

Thanks

Nah they're very replacable. I don't see them having any competitive advantages except having a very strong bizdev team (not sure if even that is true now).

Disagreed. That used to be the case but now many newer and solid networks have direct relationships with advertisers. Usually, now almost any offer worth its salt - you will find it at least 3-4 SOLID networks - DIRECT. And I believe more and more networks will start getting direct offers - because it's a competitive advantage.
