The Bullshit Side of the Internet Marketing Guru Industry

I don't know about the other gurus, but most of Frank's free stuff are actually useful and he only charges if you want to meet him for a 1-1 coaching. I don't see anything wrong with that TBH.

Also, the scummy stuff are actually practised by the telemarketing company, not these people themselves and it doesn't only apply to internet gurus, I know for a fact Rich Dar Poor Dad, The Secret, that Drew Carnegie guy practise the same thing too.

All valid points. I think this one is different because:

1. Selling sign-ups to hook-up dating sites full of pretend women (but no real ones) = $40/month each
2. Selling worthless weight loss products to people desperate to lose weight = $90/month each
3. Selling bullshit government grants packages to people desperate to make money = Don't know how much grants cost... $100 each?
4. Selling payday loans to people who will never be able to pay them back = Same here, I'm not sure how much it costs.. but usually w/ payday loans, you know you're going to pay interest.
5. Selling worthless marketing materials to people desperate to make money online= $20,000$-30,000 each

Like Jon said, buyer beware.

1. Preying on desperate, lonely neckbeards living in their mom's basement is fine I guess. And, as far as I know, there are TONS and TONS of PUA courses, seminars, and other bullshit being sold for thousands, or tens of thousands. I guess that's all totally legit, right? And I'm sure none of the dating leads are ever sold to those guys. Never happens, right?

It's only a $40 a month rebill? Those guys NEVER buy anything else. And there aren't thousands of people dropping $10k to spend the weekend with some random dude who got the nickname Jackhammer because he pounds so much pussy. And you know those weekends change lives.

And I'm sure you've never allowed a PUA, or dating course to run advertising on your site, right? That must mean you're clean as a whistle. You only profited on the advertising, but I guess you didn't know about the PUA space, right? ( L O L )

You've also never let people run ads for make-money stuff either, right? Hasn't happened I'm sure.

2. Preying on desperate fatties, promising them a miracle pill that's going to make them lose weight while scarfing down 24 packs of twinkies and sucking down 2 liters of mountain dew? That's cool, and totally on the up-and-up?

Oh, let's not forget about the auto-rebills into 3 other programs that were buried in the fine print, and the leads being re-sold 15 times to dudes pimping treadmills, ab-belts, diet-based mlm's, dvd sets, and other multi-thousand dollar bullshit weight loss miracle cures. Never happens. It's only a $40 a month rebill. ( L O L )

3. Yeah, government grant people are NEVER funneled into bullshit payday loans, and never sold on other ways to make "Free' money through grant seminars, and other seedy hotel based seminars. They're also never sold BS forex crap, penny stock garbage, or miracle gambling systems. Never happens, right? ( L O L )

4. See above...

5. The overwhelming majority of IM sales are under $200, I'd guess it's well over 99%. You know where the boiler rooms got most of their leads? Oh shit, it was the Google Money Kit garbage that 95% of this forum was pimping out by flogs using fake testimonials, falsely looking like they were legitimate "news" sites, and then doing the same roll into continuity that wasn't disclosed, and rolling those same "suckers" into another 3 rebills for other blind stuff that was hidden in the fine print.

Ben, you're coming at this like someone who is naive to how this space works - you know better. Even so, to just flat out say that scamming people out of $40 or more a month is cool, when you run such a widely known company - not smart dude.

And Jon, really? You think the guys you named are any better than the guys listed in that article? I know all the same guys, including Kelly (used a fake name, and practically kept a couple call floors in business when he was pushing "The Rich Jerk". He also ran a fax spamming service, and sold a ton of BS credit repair crap.)

Also, Kelly admits to getting his start from Don Lapre's infomercial, the tiny little classified ads one. How is Don Lapre any better, or any worse, than Anthony Morrison? Kelly took Don's stuff, hustled, and made it. You don't think someone buying an ebook from anyone on that page could do the same thing if they had Kelly's drive?

Iser also uses floors, and the dude's sales letter for his last product was blinder than Stevie Wonder. Then you have Rewick who was pushing all kinds of flogs and other crap on a grand scale through media, and do you know why the companies he was working with could pay such a high CPA? They were pushing their leads to the boiler rooms of course. You know this, I know this, and he knew this too.

All of those guys are doing the same shit, but their hands are clean because THEY aren't the ones selling direct to the bolier rooms? ( or in some cases, because they aren't doing it anymore?) That's like thinking your hands are clean because you hired a hitman, and that you're innocent of murder because he did the dirty work for you. Or thinking that you're not guilty of murder anymore because the statute of limitations has expired. You either did the shady shit, or you didn't, and everyone in here has done something that the majority of the general public would freak the fuck out about.

You don't think Kelly knew what was up? Or Steve, or Scott? You don't think they were all smart enough to understand the metrics of the business, and where their money was coming from?

"On the success team, we don't call them credit cards, we call them investment cards."

LOL How the fuck anyone can either say this or hear this with a straight face is beyond me.

Strong 6th post.

In the end to an extent it's how the world (unfortunately) works, all you can do is use your judgement in deciding what's right or wrong.

It's like the whole "If you could push a button that would kill 1000 people, for $1bn, would you do it? You'd never know who they are and likely wouldn't know any of them, they're all over the world and just randomly drop dead". The answer to that would be very different to: "If you could push a button that would kill the 1000 people standing in front of you, for $1bn, would you do it?"

People are very good at ignoring things that they can't see the results of. It's much easier to say "I'm not responsible for this" when you're not the guy on the phone convincing the retired woman with money problems to re-mortgage their house to buy X, Y or Z.

The further away you are from the guy making that call, the less you're likely to care.

I mean Google ranks the website which allows people to find the first sales pitch to that desperate woman. The owner of the site puts together the sales pitch with a couple of lies perhaps (nothing too bad) to get her to fill in the form, the form goes off to someone who then sells the leads to a load of other providers, and they hire the people that make the shitty calls. It's easy for Google, the site owner, and the guy selling the leads to distance himself from what he's doing. They may know too well that it happens, but it's very easy to say "I'm not the one doing it directly, it's not my problem" and sleep at night.

What makes this vile is the way these people abuse people's trust and look them straight in the eye while they take all their money. That is fucking evil no matter how you twist it.

There's also a big difference in selling someone a subpar product for $17 or for $17000. Should be obvious.

Slightly OT from my other posts in this thread, but I actually found some of the Kern, Walker, Pagan stuff etc to be valuable. Granted, I've never paid for any of it (thanks Bittorrent), but it's not all bullshit... it's just overpriced when they were selling it for $2k.

I don't consider myself a violent person, but if somebody actually said that to me, I would be forced to kick them to death, then murder anyone in their gene-line with a hammer.

EDIT: LMAO at thread tag.

What's that?

One is doing is doing it right and the other is doing it wrong...

Why run down the hill and fuck one for $17 when you can walk and fuck them for 17 grand.

So, doing 'evil' behind the computer is good, but when you're looking them in them in the eye is bad?

wait what?

I read a quote here i think that said...

My job is to sell someone, something they don't need.

*about to make a LP that sells a 'dream' you two can make $2,356 a week.*

Listen, who is more evil, the panhandler in the street taking people a dollar at the time but driving a Benz OR the Goldman Sachs bastards who screw thousand of hardworking people out of their pensions?

They are both morally wrong but clearly there is a difference?

Lol, the Warriorforum is deleting any threads mentioning this article. Try doing site: comand and 'scamworld' in Google. Plenty of threads indexed which leads to a 'Thread deleted message' on WF. Very pathetic.

Why do you guys expect any sort of integrity from Warriorforum? Try mentioning that Jeffrey "Stone" Evans' settlement with the FTC seems to prohibit him doing things like the plug-in profits MLM shit that's run from that forum, see how fast the thread's deleted and your account & IP banned. Or, ask why Big Al insists on using fake names for all his forum business, including Paypal. Delete, ban, ban. Censoring anything that's bad for business is why warriorforum has mods. Warriorforum is the biggest cesspool in the internet marketing niche. It has to be under investigation by someone. It's where most of the false hype about these gurus come from. I wasted at least a year on that forum listening to these morons.

Frank Kern got me for $1997 for his Mass Control program. It’s sitting right here, 5’ from my arm collecting dust on the shelf.

Russell Brunson got me for $5997 for his DotComSecrets coaching course. At least it was personal coaching and yes, I did learn, but was 10 hr of instruction worth it? Not a chance. Once I was in his list, then I got a call from some outfit in New York wanting me to incorporate. I told them to call me back the next day. I did some due diligence and found out they were evil scum. They were shocked when I told them what I had discovered about their little operation.

Anthony Morrison/PMI got me for $3942 a couple of weeks ago (after purchasing Social Media Profits on TV), but I cancelled the contract a couple of days ago before the 7 day window. Still don’t see the refund on my cc for the $919 down payment. The PMI sales pitch is exactly like in the video above. You’d think I know better by now, but they prey off the weak and desperate.

PMI is not even personal coaching. It’s all self-paced videos. They steer you into using a proprietary landing page builder that is far more expensive than traditional web hosting. I found out it’s $20/mo after expiration and if you want to keep the pages you built, you gotta keep on paying. They also want you to purchase domain names from Enom from within the page builder. I can get domain names from NameCheap with privacy for $9.79. Enom wants $47.95 for the same thing.

They’re salesmen and closers. They know how to manipulate people by asking questions that you can only give one answer to. Then they close the deal.
Are you telling me I should feel sad?

We're beating a dead horse. Some same they're scammers other say who cares.

Enjoy mate and here's to your success.

Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame..

Gurus selling shit for 7 grand = bad
Grants360 rebilling poor people $100 after 24hrs for 17 buck commission = good

am i doing this right?

LOL at some of the replies to Ben. Welcome to the world of WF people reading too much into posts. Usually only happens in political type threads.
