More adwords bans coming tonight and tomorrow..

I had 2 accounts banned. Hadn't promoted anything with them for about 6 months. I'm sure the rest of my accounts will be banned shortly.
 


I ran an ACAI offer almost a year ago, and the account hasn't been used since then. All the campaigns have been paused.

My AdWords account was disabled today as well. It looks like the affiliate link (which pointed to an innocent weight loss program a year ago) now promoted some scammy get rich quick scheme.

The weird thing is that my account has been banned due to a scammy link in an ad that has been paused for a long time (almost a year). It seems like we have to test links even in paused campaigns.

Were there any active campaigns on those two accounts, or were they all paused?

I got one AdWords account banned today. Haven't had any active campaigns running in six months.
 
i had one of mine banned in this round. All campaigns were paused, not running for a couple of months. no rebills ran in this account ever. however it wasn't linked into my MCC.

Alot of people got their accounts shutdown, just stopped running traffic or banned today.

This also occurred last month on Nov 1st.

So thats two months in a row, on the 1st of the month there have been massive google account shutdowns.

With that being said, I believe it to be safe to say that Google is reviewing accounts on the 1st of every month. So it'd be a good idea to at least have your campaigns running properly when the reviews happen. But assume they probably do randomize reviews on other days of the month as well, but the 1st day of the month is something to now be careful of.

Having Google look into why an account only running legit offers has stopped getting impressions - No "prohibited content" warning ever sent for the account, and no ban email. I am running legit diet offers on the account (e.g. Weight Watchers & eDiets type), so I'm wondering if that flagged anything.
 
ya got my 2 yr old MCC disabled and I'm not even running stuff, nor ever ran google bizops on goog
 
Anyone know how to get a second chance or if there's a second chance with Google ?

In my experience, there is no way to get them to lift the ban on your account. If you contact support they just give you a stupid blanket statement saying your account was banned. You can sometimes get other people to look at your account, but they just basically say the same thing with different words.

I had an account banned a few years ago. I created an ad and then it was disapproved and then I was banned for that. I contacted support, got them to rereview the ad, and they approved it. But it didn't matter because my account was still disabled and they wouldn't enable it again.

Talking with Google support is a waste of time. Find another way around or a different advertising system all together.
 
I got banned as well. Never ran bizzop, never ran acai. Haven't used the account in 5-6 months. Kind of strange they're doing this (to some peoples accounts anyways :p)
 
I am not surprised that I got banned, but the timing doesn't make sense. It's been 10 months since I run any significant traffic with them. F'em. I spent close to 500k with them (I know many spend much more) and never heard from them. On top of that, from what I hear you don't even want to have a rep at google, because they will just look at your account and ban you.

They have this stupid binary approach, that they either let you use the platform or you get banned, it's either 1 or 0. I have been working with traffic sources, that are just as big or even bigger than google and after only spending a few thousand dollars, I have a rep that WORKS with me, tells me what to change in my lp's/ads so they can run them. So, fuck google.
 
I got banned last night too. No rebills. They even had their optimization team optimize the campaign I think they are banning for. Looks like they are taking their hate for affiliates to a whole new level.

I'm looking forward to getting a clean account and cloaking the ever loving shit out of them. I know there are lots of other traffic sources to use but AdWords is just so damn versatile..
