100% agree with requiring 100+ posts to start a thread.
Just leave it at that without charging any fees.

and ya get rid of all the repetitive services, sick of seeing 20 different variations of senuke blasts

Well the Post count thing is really good and it should be around 200 Posts not 100 Posts !!! and reputation factor should be there !! there is a mod in vbulletin forum of dp if the buyer or anyone lookin to just bump and move on !! seller can give him negative reputation and if that guy gives negative reputation back he should be notified to moderator so he can ban out !!! and forum should start charging around 20 to 30 dollars per new thread if jon doesnt want that money keep the money developing forum more stronger and stronger compare to other forums !!!

fuck I wish I was a mod so I could ban people with complicated irrational solutions to simple "problems'

IKR? There should be a VB mod that auto bans anyone who uses two ellipsis or more in a post, or who's posts are basically one long, run-on sentence broken up by multiple exclamation marks.

That mod alone would cut nearly all the useless spammers gathering their post-count to look more credible in the BST forum.

It should also not be possible to post in the BST forum if you have a negative reputation or negative iTraders.

But really, the only low-cost, NOW, solution to this is having a post-count minimum for posting a thread, around 150-250+ posts, and adding 3+ additional moderators with banning privileges. Since more people will be needed to ban the retards that spam for postcount in other forums.

The people that keep suggesting a payment to post a thread in BST and think it's a magical solution to the problem need to go back and re-read my post on the first page of this thread.

The fuck do you think this is? WaFo? A cost to bump?

It's really embarrassing that you know their policies ... we obviously need to set the post count for SBT entry higher than bofu's or else warrior fags will take over.

What about 2 links & seo sections?

Best idea so far

I'm not involved in the inner workings or direction of WF .. I have been around long enough to know that anything that will require lots of coding or organization just isn't going to happen.

So 2 links sections with a vb plugin that transfers from the "Noob Links & SEO" to "Verified Links & SEO" after XX days and XXX posts in the thread.

And really, links and seo is pretty much the only section that has this huge issue.

The section could probably use a few more mods, I think zingo has his hands full dealing with all these idiots.

good ideas

All of you guys have valid ideas and concerns but I think if you start to place limits on posting you may actually hinder some newer sellers that have good ideas and plans.

For example I plan to offer a a well thought out article marketing plan soon, if I indeed have to wait until 200 posts and 20 itraders or whatever then I lose out on quickly generating an income providing what may be a beneficial service. Don't get me wrong I do see ALL of your positions and understand them.

I think a good idea would be to implement maybe a mandatory review process. Where a new seller HAS to offer either free reviews or one's with minimal investment and risk for the buyer. I do notice a lot of new sellers here do offer reviews, which is good and a good sign of trying to gain honesty on the sellers part.

I always book mark the good services here, wether I used them or not. Usually you can tell the good ones from the bad. Thanks for hearing me out

A service that's good today will stand good after a month as well. If you have a plan, try marketing it in some other marketplaces whatsoever if generating income is an issue. But I strongly oppose to selling here in WF without contributing anything to the community. Min. 100 posts is good, 200 is better.

As you said, it MAY be beneficial, but what if it's not ? Am not pointing at you. You MAY be good, but some cheap provider might also be at your place. IMIO ;)

Honestly, we don't care. We've got enough providers that we're not lacking in competition, as this thread is elegantly pointing out.

A system that will move untrusted vendors to the trusted section according to benchmarks will allow you to compete for real after you have a rep ... the foundation of WF is solid members and if you look at yourself in the mirror right now, you just don't cut it.

The thread was elegantly pointing it out but unfortunately you're not.

Generating an income isn't really the issue, just playing devil's advocate. But I see where your coming from. Contributing to the community is in the eyes of the beholder as 100 posts is easy to reach if I spend the day fluffing it up and being a wind bag.

1000000 posts is really no indication of quality and longevity. I've ordered packages from some here that come highly recommended and have found the end result was lacking.

And as far as not cutting it like an above "moderator" so unelegantly posted. If you judge my posts amount as being someone who doesn't cut it, then maybe the one that should look into the mirror is you. Unfortunately I don't have time to spend lurking all day on this site. There are some great people on here that I've had the pleasure of working with, but I come to get some packages and get back to work.

I would love to sit around and engage not only you as moderator but others on this board in some great conversation, but the times don't allow it. Instead of exerting your moderatorial dominance by telling me to look in the mirror and that "I don't cut it", you could've made a point without making a direct attack. You have no idea the paths I've taken in life and I'm here to learn.

Those that promote "contributing" and yet shoot it down when a genuine contribution is trying to be made, is the reason I don't "contribute". One dimensional thinking is a pet peeve of mine..........

On the bright side, if you keep this up you'll make it to 100 posts in no time.

See? My theory works wonders. And I'm gaining respect for you as we speak. ;)

LOl, yeah I can reach 100 posts pretty quickly if I'm challenged on a thread, I just believe there are better ways to answer people. Krap we're all here just trying to make a buck and learn some new stuff and make some new friends.

Thanks for the encouraging words. BTW, I'm dying to try out that link arrow and will be giving it a shot soon. I hope all is well in Baltimore : )

sounds great. The section is being flooded. I buy lots of services here for my private sites and i log in here once a day or twice in 3 days, and if i didnt scroll to the next pages, i wouldnt be able to find what i needed or what might interest me. So i really feel for the providers and im sure im not the only one.

Looking forward to some initial changes for this guys.

I don't mean to intrude, but what I did is I created a bookmarked folder called "Wickedfire providers" in my browser and just book marked all the good services that I used or plan to use.

It does get tedious with all the worthless services, that you can find on fiverr. So I feel your point. I actually was ripped off once but luckily I got my money back....Good luck

Fees for threads are simply not going to happen, I don't understand why this needs to be repeated so much.

Vendors should have to have at least 100 posts like Bofu has said. You should not be allowed to sell to a community you haven't already contributed to. The other half of it is we all need to step up our idiot crushing game to keep the bar high so that we don't see hundreds of "this is a really great thread thx!" posts just to get to the limits.

I agree with this 100% - Links and SEO has become a cesspit of one hit wonders. I'm a fan of a 100-200 post minimum.

But then again, I'm a service provider - so take what I say with the necessary grain or two of salt ;)

PS - sort by posts in thread/views of thread and the cream will rise to the top VERY quickly ;)
