Just got my report. It was very late in coming but ok as i had way too many links coming in, in too short a time. Understand that "something" is coming and didn't mind the wait. The job is great! Articles well written and links are beautiful. Thanks!

hi, how do you place the link in the articles? with anchor text?

Yes, up to 3 currently but we're changing some stuff up in the new packages.

Looking for that email announcement!

Looking forward to sending it, dchuk is locked in the code cave busting out the new goodness, I'm cracking whips on the VA team getting the final projects out of the system and then we'll be all systems go.

I'm a longtime client of Grindstone's and when one of my sites plateaued at the bottom of the front page, I hit him up for some help. After talking it over we decided to try out his new LL service (the one launching soon). Maybe a few days after completion the site jumped to #3 and has been there for almost a week with 0 bouncing. This is for a very competitive niche. Oh and the site is less than a year old.

Yeah, this was some fun shit. :) Couple notes: It wasn't exactly the new LL service, well it was but like a 50% upgrade over the biggest package we'll be unveiling. Big niches need big juice. Second, that package is actually only about 70% done, as a lot of the buffering volume has yet to drop, as well as some of the uber authority links. So wikipedia's gonna get bitchslapped shortly, then we'll figure out the final step. Third, you build kick ass sites. Good sites are easier to rank than crap. Still, watching it lock onto that 3 spot like a pit pull on a fat ladies ass has been some crazy shit. Hasn't budged once across the 6 data centers I've been monitoring. Daddy like.

Thanks for the feedback. Part of the delay in launching the new stuff publicly is I never want to be in a position where I'm behind with multiple people blowing me up daily wanting status updates. Makes it hard to do what I do, adds unnecessary stress for everyone involved, and just isn't very much fun. So part of what we're doing right now is making everything redundant. Apologies again for the delay on your (and everybody's) projects, appreciate your patience.

I've purchased something like 15 packages from Grind and d, and these are top notch web 2.0 networks and SEO work. One of my clients was in an ultra competitive niche, I got the biggest package for him, and he went from unranked, to #2 on Google, and has stuck.

He's also ranked a TON of secondary terms, ranging from page 2 to page 10. A little blasting of links to the network for those terms, and he should rank as well.

There's nothing much else to say - this shit works, and it works SUPER good. If you're on the fence, shove yourself off it and get on board already, because nothing beats hand completed work like this. I was skeptical at first about the time delay, but the guys are busy, people want what they have, and they're getting caught up.

I've been communicating with Grindstone one on one for about a month now - and his communication and support is top notch. He takes time to show he cares about his customers.

If you care about your business, then you'll get this service.

End of story.

Disclaimer: I'm not financially invested in their success at all, just would like to spread the news about the service.

Well, I'm financially invested in your success, at the rate you order these things and all. :) Thanks for all the repeat business and thanks for the kind words. Pretty shocked that site went to that ranking for that keyword with that package, tbh. Fucking crazy really, it's the 4th "big boy" term we've top 3'd this week.

Kind of has me thinking this revamp to a more powerful system wasn't necessary, but after talking to a couple clients in super competitive niches last month, they had expressed disappointment in their SERP movement so I decided to unveil more of the stuff I use to rank hard, rather than just the framework of it as the existing LL configuration is now.

Now, three weeks later, they're super stoked on the results (I know there's a couple more reviews for big time keywords coming in soon) but I'm too committed in the new stuff to turn back now. Plus, the new stuff is going to make these results look like amateur hour.

Shooting for a Monday relaunch.

Will report here my results after the service launches next week...I had bought sarouk's (spell ?) Mega Link blaster service here on WF, and had went from #12 to #3 for my keyword...however, it hasn't helped my traffic at all because #3 is just below google products listing in the results (my keyword is product related) so people ignore me and click to the products above! So I basically need to bump to #2 or #1 to get a rush of traffic. The #2 result is a wikipedia page, and the other one is the biggest manufacturer of the product in my niche. Let's see how LLR performs!!!

Credit where credit is due and my review on here is a long time overdue. Just wanted to see if my results would stick. Which they have! Ok, here's the deal:

I do a major load of finance leads for the UK loans/debt and remortgage markets. Some of the terms I tackle are on aged sites and are super competitive. I'm talking 2-word keywords that get 1,000's of Exact match searches each month.

On the 1st december Grindstone's team finished the Layerd Links on a Platinum package and pushed my term from Position 7 on Page 1 to Position 4, where it's sitting pretty. In P7 I was making no money and in P4 I'm making money.

Stats on the term:
About 14,000,000 results
In quotes: "keyword" : 1,000,000+ results
Intitle: Intitle:"keyword" : 39,000 results
Intitle/Inanchor: Intitle:"keyword" Inanchor:"keyword": 31,000 results

So I'm as happy as a pig in sh!t with his service and he is finishing off (hopefully soon Grindstone!) another Platinum on another 2-word keyword for the UK loans market. This is one of the most competitive terms in the UK loans market so I'm hoping for a nice jump so I can build it up eventually to the top 5. So far I'ved used 3-4 services on WF & BF, paying top dollar for each one. Grindstones and 1 other service are the 'only' ones that have done anything useful to my SERPs for these ultra competitive terms. So, if the new stuff is even better then more orders on the way, especially as I'm making money as a result of dealing with guys that 'really' know their stuff!

Thanks for the review man, really appreciate the time you put into it and glad things helped your site out. Also stoked that we took you from not making money to making money on that keyword :)

I've been in my cave all weekend coding like a motherfucker. The new service packages will be more powerful than before and will be done faster and more consistently than before. Should be game over when we launch this shit.

GO BIG IN 2011 FOLKS

Well, you'll get it when they're good and ready to give it to you. My project has been sitting there unapproved for 5 days and counting.

As is everybody's who ordered after I posted the big flashy "WE'RE NOT TAKING ORDERS AT THIS TIME" post about 2 pages ago.[1]

Apparently "WE'RE NOT TAKING ORDERS AT THIS TIME" wasn't clear enough, as there's more than 20 of those unapproved orders in the queue. My plan was to reward those people's lack of reading comprehension by mailing the unapproved order list 12 hours in front of the bulk mail out to the user group so they could get first crack at being first in the queue. [2]

If you'd like to be removed from the pre, pre-release list, let me know and I won't send the email your way. [3]

[3] If this response seems snarky, or downright assholish, I'll chose either A: 3.5 hours sleep and no coffee yet or B: Having answered the same question at least 20 since rather clearly stating "WE'RE NOT TAKING ORDERS AT THIS TIME" as the reason.

Interesting not everyone reads through the entirety of the thread before posting... would cut a lot of the unnecessary stuff out. But coffee.. yeah that's some serious "must have" shit lol.. so you could definitely get away with blaming it on that :)

Yeah, if I could edit the initial post, I'd do so. Cest la vie.

sign me up for the waiting list por favor, I'm ready with at least a couple orders.

If you've signed up for a free account at Layered Links - Login or have already purchased, you're on the list. ;)

If you're not taking orders, don't accept orders on your site!

Modify your site and put the notice up there, don't expect your customers to wade through 3 pages of discussion on wickedfire to finally find out that they can no longer order.

And yes I know I risk being pushed to the back to the queue or whatever for making these comments, but I'm hoping that you're professional enough to not piss in my coffee when I complain that it's cold.

Fair enough criticism. In retrospect, that's probably what we should have done. Instead we focused on working out from under the existing backlog while developing new systems that will prevent us from ever having to turn away work in the future.

Don't worry about the back of the queue, you'll get first crack at the new stuff and I'll try to remember not to respond to snarky comments before downing at least 3 cups mud and rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.
