Something like $40/hr sounds about right also expect your shit to be finished earlier than the deadline with extra features you didn't ask for. ;)

6. For web stuff, they will be coders, not programmers, the codes will look as if they were paid to code per line. Very under optimized.

I'd go with Ukrainian, mid-EU, Russian developers instead since they're not that much more expensive.

Being a Russian, I use this site rather often. Prices are reasonable for Russia and cheap for USA. Many freelancers there just don't speak English at all, and those who do typically have accounts at sites like freelance.com.
 
Yes, I go with Indian since I have no experience with Fillipinos..
but that is true that they are kind of moddy if they like they will do the work if not they will not. hahaha anyway. take care guys..
 
i would choose Filipino.

I am currently hiring a few fulltime Filipino and they work pretty good. Although their skills arent that great, but it is enough to automate most of my routine tasks, which includes wordpress, joomla, magento sites, building links, and writing aritcles.

I have had bad experience with indians. I dealt with a few indians on odesk and they only want 5 stars rating when the work they did for the first 5 hours was just random clicks and acted like they were doing some coding.

Furthermore, I realized my vps was hacked, they deleted all my sites and planted a virus. I traced the log to a proxy and then to an indian ip address.

I also recommend eastern europe, I hired a Ukrainian Programmer once and he is very good. The price is very reasonable as well.
 
People are individuals , Are you the same as your neigbour just because you live in the same suburb , let alone the same city or state. Are all Americans the same. Of course not . So too are the Indians , Filipinos and anyone else. No two people are the same.

Those who claim a certain group suck at communication. Do you not think that you suck at communication in their language. They can at least speak some English . Thats not their primary language . Have some of you even tried to meet them halfway by learning their language and customs.

Surlely there are American companies that can provide you a service . But why dont you choose them . Money I guess . You want cheap labour , yet you show no respect for other nationalities , claiming they suck at ths or that.

Seems to me many of the comments here reflect a sense of entitlement. Learn another language or at least try . Why should it always be the next person that must communicate in your language and provide you with cheap labour. Not happy with the service than try an American or UK company . There are hundreds out there. But do you want to pay their price. I think not , and do they really provide a better service . Again it depends on the individual or company concerned .
 
I'll go for Filipinos...

But if you want to have very good service, then you have to find an expensive programmer. You'll get what you've paid for.
 
U can't get a cheap programmer in India .
There is lot of demand for them in big It company
They get good job as well as nice money

Yeah, I agree work ethics in Indian too bad
One of the major problem is Indians don't work on hourly basis
And they love to do thing on the last movement
So , if u have given someone timeline of 2 days , don't accept it to be done before 5 days .

I agree 100% with this quote. I worked with them for like 4 years .

I worked with fillipino's too . The only problems i got was that they react really bad in misunderstandings. Othere than that the best experiences i had were with russians,vietnamize,thai and some chinese
 
Never worked with filipinos but have used an indian company and freelance in the past, both were awful experiences. Really made me despise their culture. Sticking with Russians and Eastern Europeans from now on..
 
I have worked with a Filipino before and their work is fine compared to indians. Better find yourself a Filipino since they are also well versed in the English language which would make it easier for you to communicate.
 
I think it doesn't matter on the country if you are hiring a reputed person or company. Still, it's always better to judge the programmers' knowledge by giving them a sample task to perform before giving the entire project. In this way you can be sure about the quality of work which you are expecting from the programmers.
 
you can go with indians.They lack in communication but china and india top in outsourcing only because they provide quality work at cheaper prices.If whites know all then why every work is outsourced to asian countries.Most of whites are uneducated and lack proper skills except few
