EPN is going to fuck us! QCP Preview Available

Update, there is a fix for BANs so you can enable cloaking again. It is on the BANs forum in the EPN section.

There is also a fix for McJiffy, it's pretty simple, just disable cloaking. That can be found in the mcjiffy.com forum.

worked like a charm for BANS - thanks again!

So....my EPC was doing OK - then I started adding campaigns back in.

Look at the screen shot below. The three with arrows are all not doing well.

The top one is fairly old - 3 months or so.

The bottom two are very new - within the last week, which is when my EPC plummeted across the board. Without these three I was at about 19 cents EPC.

Opinions - kill them?

This month wasn't that bad for me.

Made it out with $177CND with a EPC of 0.08. Not amazing but a little extra cash is a little extra cash.

This is some system they've got... just for fyi, it took over 7 days for my EPC to plummet down from 2.00 to .06 and start back upward. This is with disabling ALL sites but the highest quality traffic (1) one.

I don't really wanna do the math to visualize how much my anus is torn, but from that one site, they made almost an extra thousand off of me thus far.

I got it before, but now it's front and center. "^^^^" x 100,000 pubs, is a SHITLOAD of money.

Somebody change the thread title to, "EPN has fucked us, repeatedly."

down to 0.03 even on my best performing website, thanks to some fucking bot

is someone using javascript to redirect cloaked links?
I mean, do whatever you do with htaccess, and on the redirect page you output some javascript that actually redirects the user? ( instead of using php location or html meta refresh )

ebay doesn't like it if your cloaking strips the referrer.

Everyone should be keeping a minimum of 7 days logs for their ebay sites, because if ebay drops the hammer, they will demand to see your logs to audit your traffic sources.

yeah I read about logs on ABW ( I think someone was asked for a full month of logs if I remember correctly ) and I keep logs since then

would a javascript redirect strip the referer? and what about a php redirect (header location)? now I'm using the standard a2p redirect

when they look at server logs they should be able to see that clicks come from crawlers and not by some shady tricks to inflate the number of clicks, but I guess they are not interested in that kind of information...

fuck thanks for the heads up on that BANS linking problem. I have a lot of stores I set up forever ago that are on auto pilot. Seems they were auto piloting me to 0 earnings for the month.

They're not even getting enough clicks to really make a difference IMO.

I'm not spending a ton of time on EPN at the moment...but...

I would agree - except that there's one problem. I was riding along at $0.01 for a long time until I killed my lowest performer - which only had like 6 clicks a month. It was possibly the worst EPN A2P site in history.

But when I killed it my earnings went WAY up in terms of %. There's some mad ju-ju in that EPN algorithm.

I know Radio recommends using Smart 404 for EPN sites but I am making a change to mine and adding a smart widget that shows the search results based on pre-defined keywords. I'll report back if that makes any headway.

What the fuck is this?

"It is also recommended that each campaign generates a minimum of 50-100 clicks in order for the QCP algorithm to calculate a steady daily EPC."

http://www.ebaypartnernetworkblog.c...10-with-a-model-ebay-partner-network-account/

I went a searchin when someone mentioned to me today that even if I'm using campaign id's properly, if each campaign doesn't generate over 100 clicks per day, then the epc will average with all campaigns instead of individually.

I did not know this and it explains a lot, especially if you go after ultra targeted stuff as has been suggested in the past.

Or am I hallucinating? ..even if I generate 1000 uniques/day, it's spread between 21 campaigns, then they all average together, correct? (all campaigns < 100/day) Makes total sense now how one bullshit thing can fuck everything up if I read all that correctly. If not, for the love of god, someone please set me straight.

Best Month EVARRRRRRRR.

Day 1 - .02 epc
Day 2 - .02 epc
Day 3 - .00 epc
Day 4 - .00 epc

Really thinking about just stopping all EPN work.

yea they changed something. even after the QPC started, i had better EPCs for a while. now...its all 0.00 or 0.01...nothing more. I went from making $10-30/day to making 50 cents per day if im lucky.

I have good days, just the last two weeks have murdered me... I don't understand how QPC shit can be better than straight sales commissions. Only thing it does is save them money, and leave us scratching our heads.

Did you do it with campaigns across different websites?
I have several minisites that generate anywhere between 0 and 20 clicks daily, do you think mixing them together is a good idea?

I've lumped several campaigns into one to hit the 50 clicks target set by ebay.

So far after 3 days, the change has doubled my epc.

95 clicks yesterday, 3 winning bids, $0.00 in commissions.

items sold were in different categories not related to what they clicked on.
