EPN is going to fuck us! QCP Preview Available

I killed campaigns before they introduced QCP because I didn't want my account banned for low quality.

I killed a couple single digit EPC campaigns, you might consider those but I am not sure if it would make a difference across all sites. Maybe. I have noticed quite often some sites have the same EPC down to the penny which doesn't make much sense, so you're probably on to something.

Overall this new program they have is confusing more than anything else.

EPC went from .30 to .01. I'm pretty sure I got hit by a click bot.

Date-Impressions/Clicks

1/24/10-2739/201

1/21/10-3346/223

1/20/10-3256/143

As you can tell I wasn't exactly making much anyway but it still pisses me off.

Then I got the "Your account has been flagged for network quality review" email.

everything is the same for me, except my EPC over the last week went from 0.2 to .01...terrible.

QCP/EPC is an absolute joke.

The EPC for that site I killed has been changing/updating since I killed it and there were no winning auctions. eBay is definitely fudging the numbers.

I smell class action law-suit. It would be really easy to prove this way - log a site with poor performance - kill it - and watch them jack the numbers retroactively for the rest of the month.

How much money do you guys make with .01 EPC? I had that EPC last month but I thought that the money I was earning per day was pretty decent. Not big but better than nothing.

MOTHER. FUCKERS.

I started a few new campaigns. Only one of them has registered any clicks.

It is registering at $0.24 BUT the same day it started registering clicks my total EPC dropped link a lead zepplin (that would be a good band name....) to $0.01.

Something fishy is going on...

Well I was making some progress... was inching closer back to my old stats and made it to 2.00 EPC.

Then I log in the next morning and a site I had forgotten about got hit hard... to the tune of THOUSANDS of clicks from only 54 ip's -- dropped my 2.00 epc to .63 instantly. I disabled that site immediately... next day avg epc went to .26 cents. Day after went to 16. Now it's at 12 or some stupid shit like that. Mind you, the same quality clicks that are converting to sales have never stopped, and the bullshit clicks were disabled within hours.

I just don't get these mother fuckers... they can't deploy some click filtering? Fuck.

I'm guessing now would be a good time to go back through my a2p/phpbay sites and fix the links eh. FML

Anyone know of the best way to do this retroactively?

Also note, if you're using a slightly older phpbay without mods, you're bound to get raped as well.

Something I really don't understand....

I have 6 clicks from a new site. They all registered at $0.24/click in the daily report I ran by campaign for yesterday.

Yet my overall EPC dropped to $0.01. Why would that be? The math doesn't add up. If I had 6 clicks yesterday at $0.24/click and my total earnings was $0.39 someone is cooking the books.

Naw, what you said doesn't make sense. Logical yes, but epn is not logical.

How many clicks total for the day across all campaigns? You have campaign avg epc, and then account epc.

Account epc avg is what fucks ya.

I'd check with Refrozen to make sure but I think you could do this by installing smart tools and then using the link tool to change all the links.

There's probably a ton of other ways to do it if you're a badass coder.

Yeah, please do tell, as I'm just about to set up your linking method. Is it no longer working?

I just got through a 4 day span of 0.00 EPC.

A heads up, if you are using BANS or McJiffy, your linking is dead right now. Ebay changed something with the RSS feed, and it has broken redirection in these two scripts (and possibly others).

In BANS, a work around is to disable cloaking. I don't know what that means, but apparently it fixes the link (although it might not attach your aff data to the link).

In McJiffy, I have been staring at this (not being a PHPer myself) trying to sort out what is wrong. I'm pretty much at my wits end.

fuck! thanks for the heads up on that!

cloaking in BANS means hiding your aff links with redirects.

guess that explains why I had no sales yesterday

Im using BANS and i tracked my regular clicks yesterday, how can i tell if it is broken?

just click one of the product links on your site. if you have cloaked links, than it's not working. if you don't have your links cloaked, that it works fine.

Hi everyone,

We’d like to thank you for your patience through the recent change made to the RSS Feed links that has impacted some of you, and apologize for the delayed response on the boards as well as the lack of a proactive message to announce this change. There was some miscommunication here on when this change was planned to roll out. Essentially we updated the links in the RSS Feeds to reflect the new link generator structure which we implemented a while back. This new link structure includes added parameters that we plan to use for some optimization initiatives to further enhance our tools and most importantly help generate higher earnings for our partners.

We believe the third party tools being used to publish content from the ePN RSS Feeds will update as necessary, if not already, to account for this new link structure and direct users to the correct pages on eBay. Also, as recommended by others in this thread it’s a good idea to consult the resources available through these third parties for further assistance. Please note that there are no issues with the RSS Feed URLs and links when taken directly from the publisher interface.

Thanks again for your patience,

Casey
