Ca$hvertising (Book Summary)

The book's about a paragraph's worth of cliched examples and stale information buried in a bunch of self-congratulatory anecdotes about what a great marketer he is and useless nonsense about stuff like fonts and color versus black and white photographs.

Thank you. That was the first bit of real advice that I have seen on this forum. I appreciate you taking the time out to do this for us.

I knew a lot of this because my dad had a pretty big marketing/design company while i was growing up and it's great to see it all written out. Thanks for condensing the book! I need to smack my dad and tell him to write something.

Just finished the book and it is amazing. Highly recommend it. Useful if you write your own copy, or if others write it for you.

When i first read this book, yes i too felt like it was the greatest thing since sliced bread....

after checking out gary's website and reading such books as the adweek copywriting handbook, scientific advertising, etc.
it doesn't hold a candle to robert bly, joe sugarman, claude hopkins, and the like.

this book is a good start.

That's a great amount of knowledge. I especially agree with "People buy because of emotion and justify with logic." It's pretty much true.

The other information is equally important. Direct but true! Great marketing tips!

Interestingly, I read this post and the cashvertising book is sitting right next to me - def a must read for any business owners or anyone in general doing business online.
