The Grand Budapest Hotel is next on my playlist, then probably Whiplash. Also have the Steven Hawking one ready to watch. Watched Birdman last night. All Oscars related. Birdman was good, great visually, but really a bit up it's own arse, will never watch again. I know The Grand Budapest Hotel will be good as his always are. For me
Interstellar was easily the best thing I saw in 2014 (walked out of the cinema a mess).
Will also check out Nightcrawler. Torn about whether to watch The Crew as it only gets 6 on IMDb but looks like my kind of film, it is not on my torrent site so forget it.
As mentioned in the OP Crank is always a great fun watch, and the second one. The Good Guys is worthy of repeat watches and I have just seen a poster for a new Will Ferrell one with that short black comedian, might of been called Hard On? I love all Will Ferrell movies.
Saw
The Equalizer which was excellent as expected. Also saw
What We Do In The Shadows which is second only to Shaun of the Dead when it comes to funny zombie films. It is not like a normal zombie film for those complaining, it is hilarious.
Thanks for whoever warned us off Louie CK’s latest. I have that too but not got round to it yet because his last one was so shit (talking about poo for ages?), so will avoid that shit for now.
Whoever recommended Shawshank Redemption as a “movie you might not know” must have an IQ of 7.
As some have added TV shows; Currently airing ones worth watching:
1.
Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia (the best comedy ever, period, possibly best TV show ever too)
2. Real Time (the only talk show I watch)
3. Vice (the only news show I watch)
4. Workaholics (the last episode was one of the best with Jack Black guesting, hopefully he does a Danny DeVito in Its Always Sunny and sticks around)
5. The Mentalist (I think the season just finished but I have the last few episodes to catch up on, successfully re-invented itself into a fresh version which it needed)
