Hey btw does that rophenol stuff really work??
Based on your viewing habits, I'm surprised you haven't watched Peaky Blinders. Just started it on Netflix and looks pretty fucking solid.
Just watched Nightcrawler, really good
The whole project was designed to get Jake a Best Actor, which he didn't even get nominated. We will see later, it will probably go to Bradley Cooper. All the other big awards will probably go to Boyhood.
I don't keep up much with that stuff. I thought Jake was great though and I'm a big fan of him.
Compared to De Niro? I'm going to go with De Niro for Taxi Driver (a connection I keep hearing for this movie with Taxi Driver).
This is a solid line up of gangster/mob movies - maybe not ScarfaceMy personal favourites - most are mob/gangster type, so if that's your thing, then you'll love them.
A Bronx Tale (1973)
American Gangster (2007)
Goodfellas (1990)
The Godfather (All 3 Parts)
Boiler Room (2000)
Glengarry Glen Ross (1992)
Rush (2013)
Scarface (1983)
The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
8 Mile (2002)
Carlito's Way (1993)
Mean Streets (1973)

This is less gangster, but City of God is a great 'rise to the top' flick for drug lords if you haven't seen it. I think it's got a flawless rating on the top film sites. Has been one of my favorite movies for awhile.
Classic. If Sean Penn retired or disappeared or died after finishing Fast Times & Bad Boys, he would be remembered as a true legend. Instead he married Madonna and became a Hollywood brand name.Bad Boys - No, not the shitty comedy. This one stars Sean Penn.
Donnie Brasco.
