green, I get decent traffic at $6. alot of it has to do with the # of keywords you use. I have had to have some very big keyword lists to get enough traffic sometimes, this was one of them!

chris how are you handling your bids for these huge keyword lists?
What I´m doing is using the "Make Top" feature with a $.08 cap
I´m not getting huge amounts of traffic, but at least they´re clicking.
I´m at 3:1 per dollar spent in 8 days of testing.

chris or anyone who knows the answer....

Just a n00b question....if you bid only 0.06 for every keyword for "mortgage" or any other keyword, would'nt you position very low and not receive any traffic??

For a similar niche I was bidding $0.06 too. Zero traffic. Increased bids on alot of terms to get to #1-10, still no traffic. Probably to little searches for the long tail keywrods. So I can't fucking see how bidding on those long tail keywords would help anything no matter how many you have?! Because I don't get any traffic on those I have. I have around 150 keywords. It's 7search.

juicy - I build up to 1000 keywords and then trim - it works for me and I get good traffic. If you are getting 3:1 in your first 10 days, start building more pages,
one thing as a newb I hated was some expert telling me to test test test and never defining what I am testing. I figured out why the don't define it. YOU TEST EVERY FUCKING THING! run 4 campaigns with everything different on all and just see what works. the problem becomes money but at $.06 you will not spend all that much money!

Based on this thread, I started a few sites. I wrote a bit of php to make the pages dynamic based on the keyword. I also made the keyword a directory off of the main page. So far, so good.

I just got my 7 account yesterday, so it's still early to tell if it's working. I am only focusing on 5 keywords, but they are keywords that I can get top 7 for under .10.

From what I just read, it looks like I may change that a bit and go for the big lists.

Chris, can you point out any tools to help make this easier to manage?

atomm, my tools are all made by me or a programer I hired. sorry. I understand that you are able to get clicks for less than $.10 but what are the keywords going for with adsense and how many searches are there for the terms?

what would you like to know? be exact, I will post anything you ask within reason? what would help you the most, I kind of am obsesive about stats and numbers so not sure were you would like me to begin.

Which tools do you use to get that long keyword lists? I use 7search, google, overture.

7search, do they use broad, phrase or exact match? I haven't found anything about it on their site.
Because as usually overture has it's keyword phrases fucked up "auto bad car credit loan used". And 7search actually says that there are 137 searches for this.

Hey chris, are you still bidding $0.06 for your keywords on the mortgage test site? and are you still using 7search and searchfeed for traffic? or are you using a new SE?

I added about 100 more keywords. Most of them are in the 3 cent range with a few at 10 cents. The google payout is between $5-$30. Some of the keywords I bid on get thousands and some get hundreds, but like you said, it's the long tail.

I just added the 100+ keywords, so I'll have to wait a few days to see if it helped. If I start to see some movement, I'll try to increase my keywords or look for a new niche and see if I can duplicate it.

Are the 7Search reports realtime?

Also, do you allow your ads to post to the contextual network for 7Search?

Thanks!

You do not have to turn on contextual for 7search. The 7search reports seem to be pretty close to realtime from what I can tell.

7search ad impresions and clicks, AdSense page impressions, clicks, page CTR, Page eCPM , Earnings...

Just kiding...

Just how much did you spend and earned from the begining (how many days)?

I don't know if this has been answered somewhere else, but google doesn't seem to be updating my ads from the PSA's. Its been almost 24 hours.

Are my keywords TOO dense? Or not dense enough?
