Nordica Condominiums - my wheels were stolen

OP, perhaps it was something personal (your wheels being stolen) by someone you know rather than a random incident?

whhaaaat? I can't rent a 1 bedroom apartment with a so-so location in my (possibly) 3rd world country for that price and you do that in the US?

Yeah haha. I got a great deal on this place. For 2 main reasons:

1) People just don't want to live in this nothing town. Therefore, most living is absolutely dirt cheap.

2) I know the landlord so I pay less than half of what everyone else does. Normal rent in this building is like $750-$850/mo. I only pay $350. Almost everything I make goes right into savings. I'm not complaining.

Still, though - even the $750+/mo isn't bad considering it's a great neighborhood with literally little to no crime. You can leave your doors unlocked and car parked on the streets and probably never run into any problems. I've lived in this area for 4 years now and haven't had a single issue. I can walk my dog at 4am and not worry about anything.

I also love the atmosphere. Tons of little mom and pop establishments. Some of the best pizza/home-cooking I've ever had is only half a mile from my place. And it's cheap too.

However, highway access is about a 10-15 minute drive (like I said, typical ohio nowheresville).

These places exist in the USA, you just gotta look for them and be willing to sacrafice city life.

For what you're probably paying for rent there, you could live like a literal KING in Ohio*. In a middle to upper class neighborhood. Without shit like that happening. Huge houses here in nice neighborhoods are probably less in mortgage than your rent out in FLA.

To put it in perspective, I live in a nice neighborhood out in nowheresville, ohio and only pay mid $xxx/mo. That includes utilities, not even joking. Crime rate is low because people can afford to live and don't have to resort to crime to pay bills. Sounds dirt cheap to a lot of people, but that's how things are out here. Ya, it's a noname town and not much to do, but at least it's safe and you can leave your doors unlocked and car parked on the street w/o worrying about shit like that.

In any case, getting your rims/tires stolen sucks. It isn't cheap to replace, especially on cars like that. Low life pieces of shit that do that kind of thing are usually retards who get caught eventually anyway for bigger crimes.

Good luck with the lawsuit and SEO revenge.

* - not endorsing Ohio by any means, just sayin. If I had money like you (guessing because of the sweet ride, I would be moving to the middle of nowhere pronto. City life blows.)

This - I live about 30 mins' train ride outside of London, in a nice area where I can walk down the street any time of night. Has everything we need. Can easily get to countryside for walks. Our 4-bed house costs less than my friends' tiny 2-bed London flats. If I want "city life", I can just go and stay with them for a day or two :)

Admittedly, if I was young and single, I'd probably find it boring as hell, so horses for courses I guess.

Also, OP - this may be a stupid question, but is there a reason you didn't have locking nuts on your rims? Or did they managed to get round them?

The Truth is that don't sell Sweet Home. As you are familiar with your current Home. And when you move to new locations things like this happens.

They do have a point though, why live in that shithole if you drive a SICK car. ;)

Awesome car.

this is not a shit hole, it is just poorly managed. There are way more expensive cars in this garage than mine.

And I didn't know about its history before moving in. Nobody told me anything.

Hit me up and if you're willing to shell out some cash in exchange for my advice, then I can guarantee you great success and your pal Mr Torres will be kissing your ass and probably paying you to fuck off (on top of what he owes you currently).

I don't care what kinda car you drive, or did drive even when it had tires and a steering wheel. But if there is one thing I am fantastic at, is coming up with creative ways on getting people to fucking squeal. The legal way of course.

Aside for that option.. toss a few links to the original post you made and poof, you'll rank for the kw you're on the hunt for... but dude, you just got raped and then kicked out by a fag offline developer.. do you really think ranking WF on Google will bug him? Riiiight.

I've read your posts a few times, and I don't see how you would ever win in litigation against the landlord with that fact scenario. The standard of negligence is not what you think it is; there isn't any duty owed to protect your car by your landlord in the facts you've described. It sucks that your wheels were taken, but this is an insurance issue, not a "lets-get-wrapped-up-in-expensive-litigation-with-the-landlord", especially since the landlord is pretty much obligated to fight it out till the bitter end to avoid any sort of precedent being set where he'd be liable for everyone who ever got their car broken into there, not just yours.

Maybe the SEO shaming will work, maybe it won't, but litigation seems like a pretty low-return approach, and no lawyer is going to take that case on a contingency basis.

Nordica Condos Police Reports

I can't say I am surprised at all. I wish I had known before I rented.

Vandalism
Burglaries
Larceny
Stolen Vehicles
..and much more.

I was told many times the building was safe and nothing out of the ordinary has ever happened. This is
simply the result of nonexistent security measures. These are the consequences when installing some BASIC CAMERAS in key places is not a priority for management. Their bottom line is.
