Have any of you noticed a high fail rate with long URL pings? I had a awful time last night trying to get more than 20 pings/minute , so this morning I've been playing around, and submitting much shorter URLs and now I'm doing 100+ pings a minute on only 20 threads or so.

Also, you are right about filtering out services that fail regularly, I found about 10 services in the default list that failed 3 times consecutively.
 


Just a note, on version 6, it does spin titles, but it outputs the unspun title to the success file. It's hard to change this, but I'll give it a try for the next version.
 
Does anyone know what the advantages of MegaPinger are over the inbuilt pinger in SeNuke?

Apart from the ridiculously cheap cost of MegaPinger of course.
 
Megapinger = Megafail

Most of my pings fail. I use titles and a daily private proxy list. What is going on here? I'v eonly heard great things about this program so I am really bummed out.

I use proxyfinder but I never get any more than 77 results each time I run it, I can't imagine how you manage to get 11,000!

I run proxyfinder immediately before using Megapinger and then after a couple of hours I run it again and change the proxies over. I get much more succeeded results doing it this way.

the 11000 is the number of proxies found on the sources, not the total confirmed working proxies.
 
This looks good, anyone compared to SB's pinger though?

I've got that on 100 connections now and did about 9k pings in 3 minutes, not quite as fast as what this looks to be capable of though but still decent.

I am using version 6 I can't see any option for title etc? what I am missing?

I would like to ping my RSS feeds directly as I have several per domain. Will that work?

When I tried it from feedburner I get this in the failed file "We were unable to process your ping. You must ping with a URL that exactly matches the channel link (RSS) or alternate link (Atom) in your top level feed element pointing back to your website (e.g Escape Velocity), or use your feed URL (e.g. http://feeds.feedburner.com/myuri)."

You can, I'll offer some general tips as well:

Seeing a service in your failed logs a lot? It may be dead, try removing it.

Less threads = less bandwidth used = less chance of pings timing out.
 
Well, I get a lot of "Can't accept the ping because the weblog name must not be empty", then again some others just have a list of proxys behind them. Sending you the log so you can take a quick look - Would be much appreciated.
 
Can I get my License key for MegaPinger and the download link for Proxyfinder???

I brought megapinger earlier today Paypal Transaction ID #53A01073S2299362R. Can I get the license key via the paypal email stated on the transaction ID above?

Btw.......

I also just brought proxyfinder. Paypal Transaction ID: 29500932XK033892S. But there was no link to download the proxyfinder after I paid for it. Can you either send me the download link also via the paypal email stated on the transaction ID above?

I hope to start using your products soon. :D

You need a title for "weblog name must not be empty". You can easily insert title with TitleInserter, which was posted in this thread.
 
2nd person with this problem: If MP doesn't validate, check Internet Explorer proxy settings, SENuke as well as others modify it.
 
Do you ping a html page or an RSS.xml feed?

If I have thousands of profiles to try to get index faster do I ping those actual pages or create a feed with all those URLs in it and ping the RSS feed?

Most ping the actual URLs. RSS could work, I've never tried it myself, anyone want to out their successful methods? ;)
