MegaPinger

I'm pinging a LOT of URLs and this thing's working great! I just plug in the URLs/Proxies and don't even have to look at it again for a few hours.
I'm also running the 500 threads on win 2003... no hangs or anything. Well developed.

I paid full price, and after 2 days of usage, I agree that I would have paid more.

The one thing I would like to see is an import function so I don't have to open up all these files and copy/paste.

Other than my laziness, though, this is a great piece of software.

Thanks Matt!

does pinging still work for you to get profile sites indexed or better cached?
do your links show up in yahoo siteexplorer after you've pinged them with this pinger? i just did not have much luck with pinging in the past

People using this software have reported good results :)

Just purchased and am looking forward to using this. I ran into an activation problem where it wouldn't accept the code. Sent you a support mail.

Quick update: got fast support and figured out the problem (network issue on my end). Up and running and it works beautifully.

TitleInserter.png

It's free yo. Insert your spinnable titles into your url lists, get higher ping success rate. Supports recursive spins eg: there is {nothing {wrong|right} | a lemon}.

was actually just stopping by the thread to get the URL to send to a friend of mine... saw the update, played with it, and it's fucking awesome.

He's got a good email follow up system too for you idiots who have to question every fucking thing (like me)

Hey Matt, sell your shit on a website, so I don't have to give up wickedfire links.

On the suggestion of mattseh in another thread, I picked up MEGAPINGER a couple minutes ago and I've got it cranking 500 threads working up to 600K pings. Looks like it will take a few hours, but holy hell this makes life easier. I'm running private proxies and it's got a pretty damn good success rate. If I'm not using it advisably, someone please let me know, otherwise I'm going to let this bitch keep running at maximum capacity.

Well worth the cheap price for this little gem. Thanks Mattseh

So the main benefit of Megapinger over others like syndic8's Mass Pinger is its speed through muliti-threading?

I bought this and have been giving it a try. It seems to be working just as it should, but I'm having a problem with getting disconnected from the internet when I run it, so that I have to reset my wireless router to reconnect. Anyone else had a problem like that? I've been using it with proxies from yourprivateproxy, I don't know if proxies or multithreading causes some kind of problem. Is that just a sign of a shitty router, or is it something I can fix?

Looking forward to using this, I've got a lot of backlinks to ping.

Mass Pinger has a character limit, so you can only do 100-250 links depending on how long their URLs are. It's also much slower due to how the code is written. I tested Megapinger when I bought it on 1 thread using the same proxies and Megapinger finished 200 links several hours faster.

Also, you can actually pause Megapinger. That's great for if you are about to run out of a WiFi area or need to shut down your computer. I know most of us are running Megapinger on our dedicated servers, but you never know if you might run it on your laptop in the future. I sometimes do for getting a new client indexed.

Another difference is that Mass Pinger won't give you a list of successful and failed list of pings, or which have not yet been pinged. You'll usually not care with a huge list, but for anal people, it's there. Overall, Megapinger is the best for what it does.

Try lowering your number of threads, or look into a TCP/IP patch mentioned on Matt's ProxyFinder thread (I think around page 6). You could be running into a half-op issue where you're running up against the 10 connection limit in Windows. This is removed in the later version of Windows 7.
