Damn dude, are you really a Pedo?

I've seen some people jump at chance to defend someone but...

I'm quoting that gif for badassness...

seriously tho

I don't get why everyone is focusing on the quality of the product or its glorified IP list.¨[...]

// full ack

lol @ court case and I agree. those who got convicted are only those who got caught. im 100% sure that most WF members have done something in their past who would've put them in jail for at least a night.

Can we not be posting people's criminal records on here please? Thats way over the line of decency.

Fair enough. Upon second thought, him having a criminal record has nothing to do with this product to be honest. I heavily doubt he is going to suddenly steal landing pages or run away with any money from the product.

What it comes down to is if you like the product, use it. If you don't, don't use it. If Nickycakes wanted to steal landing pages I'm sure he could find it any other way.

I was wrong, I shouldn't have posted any of that shit; it simply isn't relevant to the product. Whoops, my bad Nickycakes.

Some ones hiding something

No tattoos haha, but obviously my life is a little different from what it was 8 years ago.

I'm always extremely honest about that part of my past when anyone asks, because I know there are a lot of others who are in similar situations currently who could use advice about how to get help if they need it. I will never be ashamed of my past as without it, I would never be where I am today, and I think that's something I'm allowed to be proud of.

Plus, chicks dig a guy with a felony GTA on his record. Just sayin'.
Heh, let's see the fed charges? Only question from me is how bad does the counterfeit cash have to be for a dope dealer to turn you in? And I take it Harvard doesn't give a fuck about records as long as you're smart?

Anyway, congrats for being sober for this many years, and managing to be pretty darn productive during that same period.

For anyone bringing up the case, I'm sure a number of people here know about Nick's past run-ins, and if the full info wasn't given in a specific disclosure, the wonderful state of Maryland has had a public database out there for a while. If you don't want to deal with people with certain pasts, don't deal with them. If you don't give a shit about protecting landing pages (like myself), then either laugh and move on, or use the prior flaws to your advantage. Or just move on to something more productive. Frankly, I would have been one of the people taking advantage of the flaw and not outing it for it to be fixed... Personally, I don't quite care about someone's past unless it directly effects current business dealings, and even if it did, I don't actually have any business dealings with Nickycakes. I'd guess the closest thing to a business dealing I've had with Nick was briefly talking to him at the POF/Neverblue/Nickycakes/PPC.bz party. No loyalties there at all.

you bring up a decent point. ive got my own legal troubles myself.. just lucky enough for it to happen before i turned 17-18.

No swastikas under those popped collars?

It is what it is Nicky. It's your experience and you've learned from it. Props for that. Bigger props for using it to help other people. And even bigger props for using it to get laid.

The fuckers using it shame you need to get hit with a bat.

mailstorm2 has been banned for posting nicky's parents information. That falls under the same lines as the no bringing peoples kids into it rule.

Faint requested I remove the post he made with nicky's criminal record. So I did, but i thought he was mr green so I edited it out of that post to.

^This.

You fucking cocksuckers.

While I may have opinions about Pastel de Nicky using IP addresses from WF members for his product, bringing up past criminal record shit is lame.

People fuck up. I hope the next time one of you is trolling the Interwebs for some pussy it ends up being an underage girl and you end up on Dateline NBC with Chris Hansen.

Exactly. We've all done things we aren't proud of in the past, and it's usually good to leave these things in the past where they belong.

Some of you guys are making this way too personal. The product may be shit, but I haven't seen Nicky do anything in this industry that would cause me to doubt his character.

Bring the discussion back to the merit of the product, there's plenty of things to attack there, there's no need to go further to someone's past.

Would I buy Cakes' service? ... nope.
Do I trust him with my data? ... nope.
Do I think he needs to step down as a mod? ... yes.
Was it out of order to post his personal life here? ... Hell yeah.

This crap needs to stop. Bag on his service all you want (turnabout being fair play and all) but don't bring his parents into this. Not cool guys.

You have turned your life around - congrats for that. Also, props to you for being man enough to face it and deal with it.

Now let me go back and bash LP-something-Down.

WTF are you idiots talking about, don't fuck with cakes past.... No ONE really gives a fuck though, if I remember correctly the cakes used to use the fact that he'd been in jail to help his ass out.

O, and this thread is turning into complete duoucherir with people trying to act hard... LMFAO fake it till ya make it

In case anyone's wondering, theres a simple JS/CSS hack that lets you view websites the user has visited in the past...

CSS History Hack

I'm not going to give out my version, but let's just say it took me about 20 minutes to throw together, and it's been protecting my LPs for over a year now. Obviously it's not 100% protection (If someone really wants my LP, they're going to get it. It's just part of the industry.) but it's an added safeguard built into my tracker.

Oh, and you don't have to worry about people collecting data on your LPs this way. Although I hardly doubt anyone who would collect everyone's IP for profit would try and collect any data on the LPs his or her script was being implemented on.

yeah guys, it's kind of messed up to bring up his past, but the fact that he went from druggy to successful affiliate actually raises my respect level for him

lp lockdown still sucks though

Just wanted to say it wasn't "guys" it was that lamer that always asked for campaigns. Glad that lame ass is gone. Amazed he lasted that long in this place.

Think alot of you are mad that you didn't think of the idea to sig stuff a pixel. I am mad I wouldn't know what to do with the data... :party-smiley-004:

Am I wrong to see this method of data (IP) collecting to be the same method as cookie stuffing? That's where my issue is, I know all about how people can cookie stuff using images but, I don't do it for ethical reasons.

So, what's the difference here? He collected IP's using image stuffing, is that correct? Or am I wrong? If I were to image cookie stuff some offer or aff network and caught, I would definately get terminated. However, he's cookie stuffing for his own gain and since he's the "merchant" there is no consequence.

I think one of the main reasons external images in signatures were banned were for this reason. Since it would open many peoples eyes, that they can just put an image in their signature and use it to cookie stuff (referral links?) and being as how big this forum is, one could make a lot of money.

That is all speculation though and I'm not taking any sides.
