Why exactly? A few of you have said this and I don't understand what his being a mod has to do with anything.

As I understand it the image sig hosted on his server is something anyone (mod or not) could do. (well untill admin blocked it)
 
So someone selling heroin got counterfeit money and went to the cops to report that? That's really crazy lol. I didn't read the criminal case, but I do watch the wire.

I think one of the main reasons external images in signatures were banned were for this reason. Since it would open many peoples eyes, that they can just put an image in their signature and use it to cookie stuff (referral links?) and being as how big this forum is, one could make a lot of money.

That is all speculation though and I'm not taking any sides.

Considering counterfeiting currency carries a 15 year minimum sentence you have to believe that a whole lot of snitching was involved.

I feel that a moderator at a major message board in our industry should have certain "standards" to meet. Something like that sounds dumb and lines usually aren't crossed, but in this case that's what people feel.

Nicky made his brand on bashing all the gurus in the industry and "keeping it real". He was perceived to stand up against all the bullshit, look at it, laugh, and then go back to banking on his own campaigns. This is where is "injustice" as a moderator begins...he's a big poser. Building an extremely simple tool and charging $50/month for it and trying to say he's trying to help the industry with it...is just retarded. The only person he's trying to help is himself.

Secondly, the actual premise for these mod-removal accusations comes from the IP harvesting. Not really a big deal or illegal to do, but he's a mod and was supposed to stand for something as a brand. Taking IP info from his "peers" and then selling it back to them is just fucked.

So now we have a poser who is taking our data and putting it into his tool that he's trying to sell, which goes against everything he once stood for. Should he be the one moderating us?

That's why people want to see him removed as a mod, I think.

Nicky's brand is in the middle of self-destructing so he decides to take a break and just bring up his criminal past to get sympathy from everyone who has started to realize that he's full of shit.

I don't want to divert anybody anywhere, I was bringing up the fact that I couldn't believe this diversion of a thread is actually working.
