Uber has "brought" the universe back into sync. I can't stand his blog or most of anything that he post on this forum but this post has proven that "karma is a fuckin bitch".

Watch who you trash and what bridges you burn. The actions you take today may just come back and bite you in the ass tommorow.

Have you been living under a rock? Every big affiliate on this board was using signatures to collect affiliate IPs. I can think of at least 10 guys who were doing. Both mods and regular members.

I see absolutely no issue with anyone using their own signature space to collect IP's that view it.

Grabbing our IP's and then using it for a financial gain is different.

If this is true, then this forum is no better than the blackhatworld etc. Again, I guess I am naive....I thought this forum was "different". Fuck, I guess I will have to take precaustions here, like I do with the other so called "affilate forums". Myself, I don't need to collect other affiliates data to be successful.

Surely, collecting IPs from Wickedfire members is totally legit.

We go to this forum just to get fucked over and we all want some lame ass cloaking product sold to anyone who asks get in the way of doing basic competitive intelligence.

Yeah, right. There is no conflict of interest between position of trust as WF moderator and selling a product to cloak against WF members.

I bet the majority here have dynamic ips, I go through over a 10 a month sometimes + I get in from work, hotels, airports, proxies...
Wonder what is the average per person? 10? 50? 100? Seems like this list may do some damage and the tool can actually help too - just run a new niche campaign with his tracking pixel to shave a small % of your competition... :-E
 
I don't see Nicky doing anything wrong. LPLockdown is just another product. It simplifies cloaking process and will be able to protect LPs from noobs.

Collecting IP from WF is fine if we are allowed to do that. It's not cookie stuffing.

Nice thread Uber for showing people LPLockdown's flaws.

Problem is that it's not "FINE". The forum has been all of a sudden changed to where we can't conduct this type of activity anymore. I really don't give a fuck about some lame ass script that some wana be guru has put on sale. What pisses me off is that the powers that be has allowed some lame ass tool mod to mine data for profit on a forum that I thought was all "cool". Not only was he allowed to mine my data for profit without my knowledge but it looks like nothing is going to be done about it.

Im outa this fuckin thread...........

i hate to bump this shit, but seriously people, its a damned ip address. if your THAT concerned about teh internets getting your IP, hide it. search the big G for further assistance.
 
I admit, I'm one of the newer members here, but I love this place. I was under the impression that this place had the no bullshit best of the best web badasses. Please excuse me if I don't understand or I am missing something... but IPs??.. anyone can harvest ips from here just by posting an image on a popular thread. The fact that nicky also offers a service and somehow compares the IPs from here to his service seems unimpressive due to the fact that anyone could do it easily in theory.

I personally use a proxy, and I have signed up for a hosting offer from a member's signature here, and I must admit that when I signed up using the same proxy, the thought did cross my mind, that he would know where I came from and even what my username here just based on my IP. the fact that people here think that this practice is not even remotely possible/doable is what the fuck baffles me.... but again, maybe I'm missing something.
