LPLockdown - If You Like Giving Your Pages Away

I have mixed feelings on this. I was someone that always believed, People that do, do.. and those that can't do, teach. This is similar to what your saying above.

However, I am a successful affiliate and I make profit everyday on my campaigns. That doesnt stop me from thinking about building a tool or service and selling it other affiliates though, for various reasons such as diversifying my income. Hell I even thought about starting a blog just to get referrals and sell my tools/services to help spread out risk with my affiliate income. Doesn't mean I am having hard times with affiliate campaigns though.

You should see how much money is made from people like Amish ( GAYGAYGAYGAYGAYGAYGAYGAYGAYGAYGAY ), WF review plugin, and other tools/products being sold out there today.

Your going to see more and more self proclaimed "ballers" releasing their super duper affiliate toolz. Most of these guys made a little money and got the big head by pushing the scam rebills.

Now that the gov'ment and PPC platforms are comming down on rebills, you will see alot of desperate one trick pony affiliate ballers scrambling for some way to keep the cash rolling in.

Dealing with programmers, updates, customers etc. is the biggest pain in the ass known to man. Why would a big time baller that is scoring big with their campaigns wana take on that load of shit. That is unless the big time baller isnt as big time as they want people to believe.

NOTE: Not saying that this is the situation in this case but it is in alot of cases.

One way to think about it - what if Wickedfire LLC came out with a competing tool to LP Lockdown that promised up to the day IP information for thousands of active affiliates? Would you be pissed off about that? How is that different from a mod who is able to see all member's IP addresses and has a product that claims the same info?

There's some serious drama in this thread. So NickyCakes's product is apparently a bit shit. Don't buy it then. I do understand the irony though and it's pretty funny, but god it's like a thread full of whiny girls. We're all in similar businesses, so it's either jealousy or bandwagon jumping imo (all teh cakez bashin). Just let it go and attack the "gurus" not the fellow AMs.

What if HP made a webcam and used the IP list from WF and gave out free webcams at ASW/ASE and then came out with a LP Lockdown service so that anytime an affiliate marketers IP hit a LP, the webcam checked the facial profile and confirmed it was a known affiliate marketer looking at your page and cloaked it

I for one would buy this shit.

I wouldn't be pissed off if Jon has us sign electronically some sort of waiver acknowledging it. The fact of the matter is that Nickycakes has a product he is selling, which he scraped from this site as a Moderator, No action what so ever has been taken, and PLUS, if you do buy this software, where the hell is this moron going to get the rest of his IP's? Buying them off random IM blogs... probably.

-Good luck to everyone that even thinks about purchasing the product with my 30+ IP's from wickedfire, changes all the time, previous workplaces of 500+ employees, etc etc. Because I am sure this scrubbed and dubbed IP list is fantastic.

You're mistaken. Absolutely none of the IPs in our blacklists came from scraping IPs out of Nick's moderator control panel. Any IPs that were gathered from WF came from sig pixels, which every user can, and has been doing for quite a while.

Nick being a mod here offered us no advantage at all, it was never leveraged to create our blacklists.

I really don't understand why everybody is so up in arms about the pixels in the sig. Nick posted about it a long time ago, a ton of people have been doing it since, and there has been no uprising. Has everybody not noticed all the pixel scripts that have been showing up on user's signatures since the external images were disabled?

@Nicky, the right thing to do is to give up your mod title. It is an enormous conflict of interest with your new business. You are claiming to protect clients from WF members while having privileged access to WF member data.
I also think this is a wise choice. Nicky had simpler version of this script (along with ip database, right?) published for free long before this shit storm and he could collect affiliate ip's just like anybody else on this forum. Now that external images in signatures are not allowed and script is not free, there is a conflict of interest.
It's not a big deal if he gives up on moderator privilege.

I am not mistaken, just used the wrong word. Point remains, sketchy ass mother fucker for sure.

And the external images were disabled BECAUSE of this.

Now that you can't use sig pixels how will you accumulate IPs from this community? Or will you stop collecting them here?

Those are the questions that if answered honestly and clearly would probably put a lot of this to rest.
