LoL Hydra LoL

This is weird because can I log into Hydra but don't see any creatives. I get a message at the offer pages saying I have to ask my affiliate manager for offer approval, and this problem is with ALL offers.

I'm still getting loads of emails and I can log in, so it seems like I'm half in, half out. I sent a message to Angela, my affiliate manager, and not expecting a timely answer. Am I in the network or not?

This whole thing is stupid. Hydra will be doing the usual rounds at the shows, begging affiliates to marry them, with half the affiliates in the room deactivated by them. People are just going to move on, and there will be declining interest in bothering with Hydra at all. They don't see it this way, but their affiliates are their best asset.

I actually don't see why it's a big deal and i think it's a smart move for them. If they mistakenly deactivate some people who have potential to do some good revenue, those people can contact Hydra to get reactivated, but in the process they will clean up a lot of crap accounts.

I also think it will help some of the bigger publishers not have to worry about over saturation when tons of newbs are trying every offer under the sun. I actually think Hydra does have a lot of offers that are not all over other networks, especially pay-per-sale offers. It's good to know these offers will not be flooded with noobs.

Also, i think CPAE did this same thing 1-2 years ago when they switched to a new system and i don't remember anyone caring then...

But what kind of bullshit is this, sending me the usual boatload of promo emails, letting me log in and hiding the creatives?

The Hydra opinions seem to be 50/50 for and against the changes. Time will tell if this worked in their favor or not. If it does, more networks will do likewise.

They want to reconfirm your promotion methods. This happened to me too, I just spoke with my AM and she switched all the creatives on.

I was contacted by Mason in short order about the issue I complained about, and he gave me instructions on how to work around the problem. It seems there's a bug since implementing the new interface and I'm still in the network. Don't know if and when the axe will swing since I run low volume with them, but like, whatever!

What annoys me most about Hydra (Mason please pass this on, as if), is the inundation of NEW AND EXCITING OFFERS.

Every damn day I get an email with this amazing offer to try, that amazing offer.

Yet, what I personally would like to see, is an email 2 weeks later telling me "Hey, you havent run this offer yet, it's rocking everywhere"

In other words, I feel like it's coming out of the gate, waiting for a sucker to test it. What I prefer is to let the suckers test it, then have your AM tells the bigger pubs what's working, and what not.

Don't make us your guinea pigs, please. I want to know what's solid, what's converting, not what's "new"

For one, I have never been deactivated from any network so it's not like this has happened to me before and I'm just looking for something to pick on Hydra about. But most people are right about them being an easy target, if I was deactivated from C2M or A4D I probably wouldn't have handled this the same way so I'm guilty there.

On the other side of the coin, for those of you who say "just pick up the phone and call them and get reactivated", YA FUCKING RIGHT. The only reason why I even got on the phone with them was because they were still sending me their daily shitty updates. I mean if you deactivate someone, then stop spamming them as well. All I did was reply to my AM's spam telling them that my account was deactivated and I got a phone call right away (this was last week). She told me my account would be reactivated by the end of last week and I just checked today and it's still not active. I don't actually give a fuck however but it's just lolable that they run this sort of operation as they are losing out.

Like I said, I run traffic in niches, and they didn't have strong offers in the niches I was previously running. I am now shopping for offers, and I'm sorry but I'm spoiled and like to be able to login and thumb through different network offers at my leisure. I don't like having to make a phone call just to see offers that I MIGHT want to run. No biggie though, I just won't run with them.

While there are some good reasons to deactivate inactive affiliates, I'm not quite sure why they've deactivated affiliates who in the past sent sporatic amounts of high-quality traffic. I was inactive in another certain affiliate network for 8.5 years before finally starting to drive traffic last year (first payment since I signed up in 2000) - Now I'm doing nice 5 figure revenues with them, and they're probably taking a good cut on top of my earnings. After 8.5 YEARS of being inactive.

Fuck, if you've already vetted an affiliate as being high quality and legitimate, no reason to kick them out if they're not a drain on resources.

All Hydra was good for in my world was split testing offers - They offered absolutely no unique advantage. If you're going to go private, offer something special. Otherwise, you're just a standard network that relied too heavily on rebills, and now needs to find some way to dig out of that for publicity and longevity reasons while reducing the effort you need to spend to make money.

Disclosure: My account at Hydra is still active. However, what affiliates do with their time shouldn't matter...if you REALLY wan't an offer that is Hydra exclusive, go to the source and stop bitching IMO.....BTW, I've been cut from 10-15 networks for not doing rev..not because I can't, but because I can push other AM's to give me a better payout on the same offer.

wow you guys at hydra are really smart

How about picking up a phone or contacting some of your publishers?

I bet you if I sat and cold called 14k affiliates I'd be bringing in millions of revenue. What a shitty and dumb business move.

Please pay me the money you guys owe me.

you really don't know anyone with an AM over there? That hard for you to find an AIM name?

nice bro

I was logged in earlier today and now the page just keeps trying to load or something, its pretty jacked.

Im seeing my upper right hand stats like MTD earnings, Aff manager, and phone number, they haven't changed at all though, and I have a tough time believing I didnt make a single conversion today lol. I hope its still tracking on the backend, or we get a daily average credited to our accounts.

I think they already used your advice. I received an email yesterday, I believe, "Don't want to be the guinea pig? Try these tested and true offers... etc etc"

Clicks were working earlier, but the login page was stalling. Stats normal for me.
