How much do you sleep?

Around 5 hours six times a week
and on one day 7 to 8 hours, just to catch up or if I have to do some fitness or other important sports activity.

I think at around 70 years that I'll be getting an heart attack and die.

Healthy adults should be getting around 7.5 to 9 hours anything less will normally lead to health problems like weight gain, increased risk of diabetes, heart disease, and other health problems.

How much are you trying to bump your post count, OP? But to answer your question anyway (and like totally bump my posts!!!), 8-9 hours.

Hi Crynos,

You're a fucking faggot for worrying about post count whatsoever.

OH SHIT I SHOULDN'T HAVE REPLIED I'M "BUMPING MY POST COUNT"

To YOUR success,

I'm always more tired after a nap than before a nap. It probably takes me 2 hours to fully wake up after taking a nap.

Ya same here. Never understood how naps supposed to work... The only "naps" that semi work is when I am super tired, and I dose off literally for a few minutes, then I jolt back to reality after some noise, and I feel more alert.

a question for those of you sleeping 4-5 hours daily (with or without a nap).. are you into some kind of sports? I mean do you run a mile once a week, or swim, or maybe you do pull-ups or push-ups 3 times a week?

What I've noticed is that when I sleep 4-5 hours a day my strength is going way down, and after a couple pull ups I feel quite bad... That's why I sleep 7-8 daily..

I should try this. I have trouble sleeping at "normal hours" and don't end up falling asleep until around 4-5AM but not waking up until 1-2PM. The problem is once I'm up I have trouble falling asleep again.

I have the same... Even if I make myself get up at 8-9am for a few days and get myself fall asleep before 12, I still want to sleep toll 1-2pm and if I wake up earlier, I have no energy and no motivation. So it's either 7-8am - 12pm or 11pm-12pm... :-/

I was getting 6 hours until our son got here a couple weeks ago, now I'm so delirious I don't know the difference between night and day.

I have been sleeping between 4 and 7 hours a night for the last year, and most of the last decade. I did have a 9 month span where I slept 8.5 hours a day, but I had a lot of things on autopilot and wanted to focus on my health.

Lack of sleep is arguably my biggest health weakness. So many negative consequences come from it. And yet when I am really engaged in what I am doing, I wish I would not have to sleep at all.

Naps more than 20 minutes generally will make you more tired after you've woken up...20 minutes or less makes you feel refreshed.

This. I take two twenty minute naps a day and It counteracts the 2-3 hours of sleep I normally get.
