Facebook Social Ads

I just sent my fourth campaign for approval. I've been getting a 0.07% CTR, which is quite possibly why my CPC is cutting into my profits. Could anyone tell me why the impressions I'm receiving start dying after a while though?

It's because when you're CTR is dropping, that means no one's clicking on your ads. If nobody's clicking on your ads, that means FB's not making money. Hence, they have no incentive to show your ads. It doesn't matter how high you bid per click; if no one clicks on your ad, it's pointless for FB to show it. Once your CTR drops enough you'll stop getting impressions altogether.

...anyone else feel like this thread regressing?

I agree about eHarmony, don't use unapproved creatives.

Sad part is they give you "approved" creatives for facebook, and they are absolute crap. The old douche on the commercials may have the 'love formula', but he obviously doesn't understand how sex works.

TITTIES = CLICKIES

Hahahah totally. eHarmony recently got sued over how a Wickedfire member was promoting eHarmony, so expect them to be very stingy on approving creatives.

After a few hours I lower the bid until it's the lowest it can be before it turns orange.

This is quite possibly what I've been doing wrong. I simply wasn't lowering the bids under the assumption that it would decrease the impressions I'm receiving; and that FaceBook would do this itself when my CTR is high. I have reduced the bids now to right above the point where the orange exclamation mark begs for higher bids. I'm already down roughly $10 today, and I'm so hungry for a profit.

Day 1: $5.03 loss on $40 budget;
Day 2: $19.50 profit on $40 budget;
Day 3: $7.50 loss on $50 budget;
Day 4: Roughly $10 loss so far.

I'll be as open as I can through my journey. Hopefully this will help someone down the road. :)

I found you can easily get $200 in coupons within an hour of searching and joining the Visa small business one. This is probably the greatest way to test that I've seen.

Question is, how much is TOO much in coupons before they ban me?

Is there a particular time you guys target when advertising in Facebook?
I can't seem to get conversions in the morning for the life of me. :(
I have 29 clicks right now and no conversions; down roughly $17 already.

Mornings are just terrible for me. :( Do you let the campaign run when conversions are low, pause it, or simply lower the bid so that it stops serving impressions? Which of the latter two has the lowest impact on the number of impressions Facebook serves when you want to push the advertisements again?

I read at ILLEAT.com | Affiliate Marketing, SEO & Making a Living Online that pausing is better because when you unpause Facebook will give you more impressions as thy try to make up for the ones you missed earlier in the day. I have never tested it myself, but Illeat is pretty knowledgeable in regards to Facebook.

Neil, I love you man; reputation points added! That website (surprised I never came across it) answered my question perfectly, which is exactly what you said. :)

Mr. Websites, I have trouble converting mornings too. My CTR is really low then too. I usually pause it for a few hours until the afternoon.

Neil, that's a good site. never heard of it before.

I've been trying to add the application for several days now. When I click the 'sign-up' button, it takes me to a blank Facebook page. Is anyone else having this problem? :(
