Were you using your real name? Did you have a credit card coupled with your account?

Yes I was using my real name. All my info was correct. I even upped my limit because my conversions were great on the dating offers. I was able to create a new account, but it sucks to redo these ads.

With all the coupons comes the following terms:

PROMOTIONAL TERMS: The promotional coupon code and the advertising credits of USD $50 are valid only for purchase of advertising through Facebook's online advertising system. Advertisers will be charged for incremental cost of advertising that exceeds the promotional credit. Advertisers will need to suspend their ads if they do not wish to receive additional charges beyond the free credit amount. Subject to ad approval, valid registration and acceptance of the generally applicable Facebook Advertising Terms and Conditions. The promotional coupon code and advertising credits are non-transferable and may not be sold or bartered. Offer may be revoked at any time for any reason by Facebook. One promotional coupon code per individual. Expires June 30, 2008.

What I'm wondering is if that "
One promotional coupon code per individual" means that the coupon will only work once with each account or you may only use one coupon on each account. Because other than that, I see no problem adding all these coupons to the same account.

For the coupons given with the Visa app it says "
Offer valid only for sign ups using the coupon code or URL link received upon adding the Visa Application." So it seems they only want you to use that code if youre a new advertiser... yet the system still lets you add it if you're not.

I'd say just don't draw attention to yourself by adding them all at once.

I would assume it means any given coupon code can only be used once per account, which is going to be the case since Facebook prevents multiple attempts anyhow.

Upping your limit usually leads to a manual account review...if you did nothing wrong email them and they will re-enable your account.

I've never used Facebook ads before and I just used that coupon code from the Visa business app and they charged $50 on my credit card! Those fuckers, no where did they mention there was a charge. Was I suppose to have to pay $50 to use that $100 coupon? Only $100 shows up in my account. I'm kind of pissed right now, I thought that was free!

well it is free, I contacted support:

"This $50 is simply a temporary authorization to validate your credit card. The charge will be removed from your credit card automatically, typically within 3-5 business days. We state this above the "Place order button" to minimize the confusion, but we do apologize for any confusion this may have caused. If this charge remains on your card for an extended period of time, please contact us again with a copy of all relevant information from your credit card or bank statement documenting this charge. Please let us know if you have any further questions."

Anybody have any tips on how to get the ads for those "free" offers accepted? It's hit and miss for me--sometimes an ad copy gets accepted but most of the time it doesnt, because it's "deceptive" and violates sections 3,9, 10 of advertising guidelines.

I say in my ad body text that the user needs to complete the survey and participation requirements but some members of the FINP still refuse to accept the ads.

I always get this shit man, keep trying....eventually a new moderator will look at it. Anyone else experiencing rather long approval times? I am talking like hours of pending approval. :repuke:

Yeah, and now I cant create another account. It keeps saying "Sorry we cannot process your order at this time" not to mention their contact form is a broken link atm. I'm using a card under a different name address, everything. Wonder why I keep getting this error.

My return for yesterday was just horrendous. Then again, we have a reach of only so many people that have already been bombarded with products; and still haven't been tempted to try them yet. I should have got into this a long time ago, when the conversions may have actually been good.

Don't worry they were never very good anyway.

I'm not promoting anything more than zips and and email submits on facebook so i dont really see much reason to scrub traffic.

I can really feel the effect of those Visa $100 coupon codes that everyone got. There's a lot of people taking up valuable advertising space that have no idea what they're doing. I was shown an ad on my main account for a coldstone creamery shop in Michigan or soemthing, and I live in NY.

Fuck. The account I created got disabled, I think they are tracking by ip now to make sure you don't login two accounts under the same IP.
