Nickycakes, where are you getting this ? It seems no matter what my ctr is I still have to bid above .17 to get any impressions. I hope I'm wrong, cause your calculator is coooool.

On a side note, how long does it take to update cpc? I know it takes 24 hours to update daily bid amount but how much for cpc bid?

so how does this help exactly ? i always bid around .20 for a new campaign and if it gets a good CTR and i see some profit then i keep with it..if not then impressions stop and i just ditch it

I'm also a little confused by this.

How does your bid have anything to do with your CTR.

I would think CTR would depend on your ad design, and your bid would decide the amount of impressions you'd receive.

Your bid has EVERYTHING to do with CTR. My tool should help you find the minimum you must bid with your current CTR in order for facebook to give you impressions. Turbo aim me when you can so i can adjust my formula if it's off a little

Because if you're bidding .20 when you could be bidding .10 then you could be making twice the money for the same cost. But hey, keep goin with your system ;]

so again..how does this help you??? say i have a campaign running with a min bid of .20 and my cpc ranges from .06 to .11 depending on the CTR for that particular day...how does lowering my bid effect anything???? seriously dude let me know how this will help me..

..as far as i've seen ( and i've been working facebook for 2 months...profitably) your bid has little to do with CTR, sure it may come into play but not worthy of a tool (seems you are looking for traffic to your blog) .its all trial & error at this point...what data do you have to back this?...every niche would be different and depends on your ad copy / image ect as Josh has pointed out

Stroz,
Your overall CTR for the life of your campaign for that particular ad is what facebook uses to decide how much you are allowed to bid per click. For example, i NEVER pay over 5 cents a click because my CTR is good. Facebook is not charging everyone the same price per click. They charged based on the CTR for your ad. If you have a shitty CTR then you may have to bid over $1 per click in order for your ad to be shown.

This isn't to generate traffic to my blog you homo. As you can see it's not monetized in any way. Just trying to help.

ok i'll bite...gunna drop my bids on my best CTR ads and see how it goes

I did it when he first posted. It seems to still be working (impressions haven't stopped) although they've seemed to have slowed down some.

I'm understanding the point now nicky, and I do appreciate your work with the calculator.

Did the formula just come from trial & error?

I'm just wondering what's the best CTR anybody has gotten yet from Facebook? I woke up to one the other morning having a CTR of 0.58%. I just wish it had started when I was watching it before I went to sleep so that I could've adjusted my CPC accordingly.

And FWIW, I start all my bids at 0.10 and never go above 0.15.

nicky, does the sum calculation change daily? Yesterday I entered in a ctr and it gave a bid and today I entered in the same ctr and it gave a higher bid (by about 2 cents)

Those are great CTR's, with the speed that people surf through facebook pages I'm surprised you guys can get them that high.

I posted yesterday that I thought the system realizes when your looking, and reloading the stats, and makes impressions accordingly. Well, today I checked again and that definitely seems to be the case.

I started a new ad about 8 hours ago and left it alone. When i got back on to check it, it had 3 impressions. Once I started reloading the stats, it had over 5000 views in 5 minutes. I don't think it will do it right away after you add the new ad, maybe because they have to approve it, but if you want to get them moving, make sure to reload the stats quite a bit.

If you use firefox you could even download the automatic refresh addon where you can have it automatically reload a page at a given interval so you don't have to sit there being unproductive ;)

So I'm wondering how everybody is doing?

How many impressions/clicks are you getting, and what's your average CPC?

That's a funny question. Impressions are endless (well as endless as your budget allows) and CPC depends on your CTR and your max bid. I think a better question would be what's the highest CTR anyone has seen? Which I think was already asked (multiple times).

I really don't get that high of a CTR usually just around .14 but it still works fine for me.
