Stopped because of budget I think it'll restart unsure about the stoppage because of ctr/cpc ratio

if you have a lowish budget, facebook seems to spread your traffic out over the day, so you get short bursts every couple hours instead of your budget filling up all at once. also, increases to budget don't seem to take effect until the following day.

I've tried both and have failed miserably at both.

What I beleive my biggest obstacle is would be when I'm targeting a specific keyword. The keywords kinda kills it for me because I KNOW there's plenty of stuff that interests people that DO NOT mention it in their profile. Isn't that whom I would want to target? I'm thinking targeting a specific keyword would kill my conversions. Or at least it has in the few campaigns I've tried where I used a keyword.

Well riley, You're right, alot of people don't fill out their profiles. You may want to consider removing the keyword and targeting the keyword demographic. Like the age, sex, edcuation that usually uses that keyword. The exception would be that if you're targetting 15-19 year olds. It's my experience that they fill out every damn line on that their profile. So if that's who you've been targeting you may want to consider changing offers. I think you did it right by hypertargeting but if it's not working you gotta keep tweaking, don't let it just hang dead in the water.

Yeah I guess that's what I would have to do. I just don't like pausing it. They've got me all superstitious now, I feel like if I pause it and then unpause it just won't start up again.

Read my earlier post about the math involved. As long as your ctr isn't retardedly small, they will show your ad for the right price. Right now I have an ad running at 5 cent bid and i've had 450k impressions, because my ctr is high.

Right, so if i'm going to give this Facebook thingy a try how much do you think i should start out with?

Say i want to try it for a week, with ads from CJ or Copeac, $200 enough to see some kind of profit?

all depends on the offer bam bam...you could spend $500 and see 0 with the wrong offer or you could spend $100 and see $500 return with the right one...if you are just starting out i recommend testing a bunch of small campaigns ($5-10 daily budget each) and see what works then expand on that one

Does this sound really stupid, but;

Would anyone be willing to mentor me for a share of any money made?

What kind of mentoring would be required on facebook? You just take an ad that you think would work towards a particular demographic and test. If it doesn't work (or even if it does) just tweak one tiny thing (either adcopy, OR image, OR demographic, OR keyword..etc) and see what happens. Take notes. and then change something else. Only spend 5 dollars at a time on these campaigns. Meanwhile, if you are finding something that is working, spend as much as you would like on those campaigns while still doing the other 5 dollar tester campaigns, always changing, always testing.

I could be wrong (happens alot lately;) ) but I don't think you need a mentor, I think you just need a forum. Now where could we find one of those?

bam bam, Look at the picture at the top of this thread... a retarded child could throw shit at the wall and see if it sticks...
Hahah just kiddin

lol, i usually test with more than 5 bucks tho, thats prolly why i've lost about as much as i've made lol
