Freeze at $50? I have a couple of ads that I started today. They are doing .36 and .30 CTR, bidding around .20 for now, they both hit $50.00 and came to a dead stop. My daily budget is $1000.00.....any ideas?

I just started a couple of campaigns. CTR is around .28 and .32, bids around .20 and both came to a dead stop at $50 spent. My daily budget is $1000.00. Anybody see this before?

together ya'll could be 100% gay

lol, or 100% straight...btw, that ad died fairly quick since it only got 1 click in 8k impressions. So I fired up another one with some targeting and it's running within minutes. The bid was at .35 as opposed to .25, whether that's why I dunno.

Has anyone else seen a drop in impressions over the past half a week or so? My CTR is the same, and I've even raised bids, but it seems like market pressure from other pro ads or (most likely) pressure from MSN-sold banners are driving down impressions.

No, what I have seen though is when my CTR drops I get more impressions to compensate and I don't think it's related to how many people were on Facebook that day. I'm not talking about a ridiculously low CTR though. For example:

Yesterday:

97k impressions, .18 ctr.

Today so far 150k and .10 ctr.

It's not just the last 2 days, same thing happened the previous few days. Lower ctr more impressions, higher ctr less impressions. I know that kinda goes against what we've been saying here but remember .1 isn't all that bad. When you start going below that or hit like .02 then things really slow down.

Yes, I have. CTR is the same but I end up having to bump the CPC just to get impressions. I'm thinking it has more to do with FB is just getting more saturated because stupid people like you and me are posting on a forum. :D

Over the past 2 days, I've seen very little in terms of social ads, and a lot of banner inventory. My theory is that advertisers are ramping up large spends for the holiday season - My own PPC for retail offers has skyrocketed pretty much at the same pace as my facebook ads have declined.

Yes, essentially we are saying the same thing, although for different reasons. Higher competetion = Less space on the board. I'm hoping you're right over the cause though, then manybe it will go back to "normal" after the holidays.

anyone getting some weird errors when trying to create an ad?

edit: when you click next after you set your budget and cpc it just sends you to your newfeed page. wtf?

I have been having a hard time writing the ads because I keep getting the stupid errors.

Whatever you do, dont be late on your payments. I use my paypal account and I didnt have enough to cover the cost of the ads but they still let me run them so I racked up a larger bill than I had to pay. I got a few more payments in my paypal account to cover the cost and I am all square with FB now but my spending limit is dropped to $50. Maybe I can send them an email and say sorry?
