EPN is going to fuck us! QCP Preview Available

Under the old system, the lowest earnings tier was 50% of WBR. So 40% is low. I make about 75% which is high for my volume which is lower than efeezy's.

Yeah I know my % is low, I wasn't complaining just helping efeezy understand the various numbers he can run.

Personally I think this % (earning/wbr) should be peoples main focus rather than the epc as its a lot more meaningful as a metric.

Ebay is not paying for clicks with QPC, they are valuing your earnings based on QUALITY (earnings, actions) divided by clicks.

It is NOT a CPC program.

I keep hearing this but my reports show something different.

I have one campaign last month generated 786 clicks with $288 earnings.

This month that site about doubled traffic... same campaign 1356 clicks and $79.51 earnings thus far.

Possible explanations:
-Retail purchases dropped for by 75%+ for this month (doubt it)
-tracking is fucked up
-or someone is bullshitting us.

Maybe I'm missing something..

What is your GMB on this campaign from January and then from February? What is your WBR, and percentage of WBR?

That's what I would look at. No need to post it. But that's where I would look for a difference.

Btw, my FEB has sucked. In Jan, I was at nearly 100% of WBR, which is awesome. But I got screwed by the unannounced change to the RSS feed and it has taken me a few weeks to recover.

Anyone check out the new dashboard they rolled out today? I haven't haven't had a chance to dig into it much. It's a shame that they're wasting time revamping their reporting and not doing something productive to make their system more beneficial to the publishers that are making the money for them.

Checked it out, but like you didn't dig into it to much. On the surface, it just looks like a shiny new way for them to show me that my EPC sucks balls.

I hate QCP. Slowly my EPC will creep up and I think I am making progress with QCP, and then the next week they will knock my ass right back down below the Mendoza line. Then I'll slowly creep up again, and then they'll knock me back down. I'm just letting my sites run without worrying about QCP now. Fuck 'em. It ain't worth the mental energy anymore.

Yeah same here. I've got some EPN sites that had good SERP's for a long time and they've slowly slipped off. I just don't have the energy or patience to start backlink building for them again. It's barely worth the effort. On a bright note, I've got a 3.66% conversion rate on my Amazon sites, unfortunately that's only generated $62.00.

I'm off about $500 bucks from my last month EPN earnings. EPC is way low this month too. Not even sure why really.

Theres some interesting stuff in the new version. You can see sales/stats by category and you can get your revenue generated and ACRUs without downloading a spreadsheet. Not that it really helps since the QCP algorithm is such a damn mystery.

They said a few weeks ago that they would be improving their click filtering so maybe the bot attacks will stop fucking with my EPCs.

Have you considered using a2p more as a content generator to build up qualified leads then slowly selling to them via a list?

I am building up a slow but profitable with a hobby site I have on a very high end product. I emailed my list and told them "ebay doesn't pay so I am looking for another supplier to sell to you guys". They were suprisingly responsive and appreciated my honesty. Three people actually emailed me telling me to see if "you can get us xyz from these places then we'll buy from you".

Just think if you get a 10% opt in rate from visitors you can sell to them over time and you will not have to worry about google, epn or anyone else....

I've concluded these days it's all about the list - everything else, including search engine rankings and traffic is just shiny clothes used to distract you....

Is anyone experiencing impression reporting problems today?

yeah, they posted a message on the log in page:

System Message: We are currently experiencing a technical issue that is impacting click and impression data for March 30th and 31st. Data for March 30th will be corrected by 9pm MST, and earnings will be posted then. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Only people without rankings and traffic think that rankings and traffic are distractions.

Rankings and traffic don't have credit cards. Repeat buyers on an email and mobile phone list who pay you with the click of a send button do - independent of Google...

Good night dear ;)

Rankings and traffic don't have credit cards.
So people who use search don't have credit cards? Wow, someone better tell all of the Adsense advertisers. They are throwing their money away advertising on the search network! Quick, shut down Google Checkout!

PPC and SEO are dead.

While there is merit to what you say why wouldn't your list just go direct to ebay to buy what they are looking for? You already, through the a2p pages, showed them that ebay stocks what they were looking for.

Has anyone checked their logs and seen this ip hitting your EPN sites super hard.

193.47.80.42 An IP lookup shows this domain:

crawl06.exabot.com

I blocked it in htaccess but it keeps hitting my site every 3 minutes. These bots are pissing me off.

Anyone get this email recently?

Thank you for being a part of eBay Partner Network. As you know, we are constantly optimizing our program to pay our highest quality partners the best commissions possible. As we do this, we’ve been placing a greater emphasis on transparency with our publishers. With the eBay Partner Network, when we're talking about transparency, we mean primarily the ability for us to determine how your traffic is generated and from where you send clicks to us. Knowing how you promote eBay is a basic part of building a healthy, trusted relationship with you.

In most cases, ensuring that we get referring URLs for the clicks you send is fairly straight forward. However we've found that with some integrations, business models, and linking structures, transparency is decreased. The reason we are contacting you today is because your account and corresponding traffic have been identified as sending a very high number of visitors and clicks that do not include a referring URL.
We would like to give all publishers in this situation a chance to improve these metrics. Please refer to the recent blog post here: Referring URL Tips & Tricks | eBay Partner Network Blog | eBay Affiliate Program News for suggestions you can use to begin trouble shooting the reasons why your URLs are potentially not being passed through when visitors click across from your site or links.

As transparency is considered a very important measure of quality, it is important that you take every measure possible to pass referring URLs with each click to eBay. If transparency cannot be improved, this may result in lower payout and possible expiration from eBay Partner Network.

As a first step, please reply to this e-mail or send a message to ebaypartnernetwork-transparency@ebay.com and acknowledge receipt of this notification within a week of receiving this message. Please also explain any steps you will be taking to improve your transparency over the next few weeks.

As a next step, please make permanent changes to your integration and adjust traffic so as to optimize the number and percentage of referring URLs that are passed to eBay within the next three weeks. The eBay Partner Network will then compare this with the traffic sent currently to determine if any improvements have been made. We will then contact you again with a report on your progress, and next steps.

Your current transparency metric for April is: 70% Unknown

Thanks again for helping us to improve the eBay Partner Network for everyone and have a great day.
