EPN is going to fuck us! QCP Preview Available

What are your earnings as a % of WBR?

looks like I took 80% of WBR.

However, I was making more last year with ACRU's @ $40 each and 50% of WBR.
so, with QCP, I'm down about 45% of what I would have had under the old system.

my ACRU's have been crap all winter, so last month and this month, when they started shooting back up again, I was hoping they would pull my earnings up more than they did.

It may be that your customers are buying earlier in the cookie life, and so you're getting a high % of WBR, but not getting enough total sales volume from followup bids to make the income you think you should be getting.

gotcha.

It looks to be a2p then. I just checked the a2p forums and there was a post about this.

I checked some of my a2p sites after getting the same mail and they are def passing referers.

Not sure about just ignoring it, they are quick to kick ya if ya don't play by their rules. I was concerned about 24% unknown, 70% seems high to me if you are mostly phpbay/a2p.

something must be going on though because this is what radio said on his forum

radio said:
sounds like a2p might need an update to pass headers. expect it in June.

However, I know nothing about passing referrers/headers/whatever. What tool would I need to go through my sites and see which ones are passing referrers and which aren't?

You guys getting dropped or not happy with the performance of EPN might want to check our platform out. We give you access to over 50 million products from several thousand merchants, across about a dozen affiliate networks. You have a few options, you can either display our Prosperent TCPA ads on your sites which check the incoming search engine referrer and show matching products, or you can use our newly released developer API and simply query our system with a keyword. We return JSON data ranked by relevance, which you can use any way you want. Opens up a lot of doors that don't exist with any other networks. We also have access to a large number of premium merchants that most people aren't able to qualify for. Anyhow, check it out, let me know if you have any questions. Affiliates - Prosperent

A business partner actually mentioned you guys. Do you have any developer that has come out with a wordpress platform? If you have any press interviews perhaps you can post them to - also how about another thread so it stays on topic....thanks

well fuck me- someone give you a medal for not only writing a 'pitch' post that comes across as decent helpful alternative, but also writing it well enough that a bastard like me actually clicked and got wheels turning.

about time, thanks for mentioning this I also had heard of Prosperent but wasn't going to take the time to look into it.

your mention of yoru API is VERY interesting, before eBay because a bunch of whiny fucking idiots (many years) I had months well into the 6 figures with them. nothing has changed about the SEO tactics just that now it's not worth the time/money to make peanuts with the silicon valley morons.

ok so after some time here I am again in the epn thread.

On May 4 I received the "Your account has been flagged for network quality review."

Since I had already read so many horror stories I was making sure I had all my logs saved daily and in order, just in case I needed them.

about 20 hours later I reply including all what I was requested:
- full logs of all the websites I used to drive traffic to ebay
- a spreadsheet with campaign IDs, log file names and urls.

I explained that ALL my traffic is organic, I don't have a single PPC ( or any other promotion method) visitor on those sites.
I explain that I was looking forward to implementing more sites ( I just ordered a new VPS on Apr 29 which had to be filled with ePN sites)

Around May 15 I see new commissions being counted in my ePN account so I suppose it's reenabled, but since I didn't receive any confirmation email I sent them an email requesting if I could consider it active again.

On May 21 my access to the ePN control panel doesn't work, I open a ticket and they tell me that my account has been definitely closed. "we have determined your account has been generating a high number of non bona fide transactions".

After this I wrote 2 emails, one on May 21 and one on May 27 asking more information about which transactions were considered 'non bona fide' and why, but I didn't get any reply.

All this just to remember you not to base all your activity on ePN. I didn't, but it started to be a good slice of the cake ( which unfortunately for me isn't that big of a cake yet ).
Everything was completely clean on all of my sites. COMPLETELY CLEAN, remember this.
Sure ePN is an excellent choice for many websites, payments go out on time, commissions are often good etc, as long as they don't kick your butt.

Just a heads up.

WTH are "non bona fide transactions"?

Non-Bona Fide Transactions.
You will not cause any transactions to be made that are not in good faith, including but not limited to using invisible methods to generate impressions, clicks or transactions that are not initiated by the affirmative action of an end user, or using any cookie, device, program, robot, iframe or hidden frame, pop-up window or any other operation or process that interferes with our ability to properly identify and track transactions.
You will not deliver any Network related cookies or other tracking tags to the computers of end users that are merely viewing your website, Promotional Content or advertisements or while your applications are merely active or open.
You will not interfere with or seek to improperly influence the referral of an end user to Participating Sites and Content unless the end user knowingly and explicitly consents to that behavior by taking an affirmative action.
You and your Agents will not click on Promotional Content containing your own Tracking Code.
You will not be compensated for invalid click activity, consisting of any clicks and impressions that may artificially inflate a publisher's earnings. This includes, but is not limited to, clicks or impressions generated by a publisher clicking on his own ads, automated clicking tools or traffic sources, robots, or other deceptive software. Invalid click and impression activity will not be reflected in your reports. To be considered valid, clicks and conversions must result from genuine user interest. Any method that artificially generates clicks, impressions, or activity is strictly prohibited by our Network Agreement, Code of Conduct, and Program Terms.

^Somewhere in here.

Before they f'd up things with QCP there wasn't any reason to worry about click fraud. What twats.

The problem is not about the "non bona fide" transactions, most companies have restrictions in place that you must abide to, call it "forbidden keywords", "not allowed promotional methods" or as you prefer. If you don't like the rules you just don't play the game. I'm fine with this.

I wrote them that I would have changed anything that needed to be fixed in order to continue to work with them, the problem is they don't explain why such transactions have been considered "non bona fide".

Not to mention that when you get that email, if you want to keep your account, you send them all your logs with sources and keywords, something you would NEVER do with any other network.

My EPC's would be at about .20 at the beginning of the month, and trail down to .03-.05 at the end.... CONSISTENTLY.

I keep thinking that the EPN is going to be on the receiving end of a class action lawsuit pretty soon. They've terminated so many affiliates - and more importantly, done so with no transparency and routinely withheld earnings - that the shark lawyers will be on to this soon.
