Alex as an xazoogler, why dont you tell them the truth. That your daily revenues have gone down. That you have closed the doors on Giftfox, Bluetime, Coregio and Mport. All iniatives created by you to save the day, that failed under your leadership. And where is Spicymint - about to fail i guess.

Remember what goes around comes around.

I hope you attended Yom Kippur services yesterday to atone for your sins and those people you have wronged - your xazooglers.

Tell the truth Alex

I've worked for a lot of companies and have never seen a positive / productive / profitable employee canned. If you added more to the business than you took away you'd probably still have a job. Take this as an opportunity to grow your skillset, maybe this business isn't for you. There are no free lunches, get out there find something you're good at and work your ass off. Don't be a lazy bitter punk and cry about how you lost your job on a message board. They probably did you a favor.

The world doesn't owe you damn thing.

Why do you feel the need to post under a bunch of different usernames? If you have beef with azoogle don't be a pussy about it.

Agreed, if you know Alex then you should face up to him with your real name. Right now you have zero credibility.

"Getting fired is the best thing that could happen to any of us. That way, we'd quit treading water and do something with our lives." -Tyler Durden

You can bank more as an affiliate, than as an employee. As a previous employee of a CPA network, you should know the ropes. If not, maybe that's why you got fired.

Just to clarify:

If any of our ex employees are reading these posts, I apologize if I’ve offended you. None of the individuals who were terminated last week were terminated for performance issues, their positions had simply been eliminated and/or were redundant as they were being handled by our other offices. Several months ago we let go of several people, and those terminations were done for performance reasons. I think very highly of the folks we let go of very recently and would re-hire them had we had a position for them in Toronto.

All I gotta say is WOW. Never thought we'd get such a huge response from this story.. just goes to show you the power of WickedFire..

Azoogleads = Remember.. Bad PR is also Good PR ;)

I don't agree.. I think that sometimes you need to post anonymously, and it's good that people, disgruntled or not come out and post, just so long as whatever is being said is fact, and not slanderous and fiction. You need to get it out sometimes instead of keeping it all bottled up inside, it's theraputic. So by all means, all of you former Azoogleads reps and AM's keep posting, just make sure it's legitimate, and not false. I also have a lot of respect for Alex coming on here and setting things straight and answering the posts made by the former AM's, it shows that even though they may be pissed off about the recent decision, that Azoogleads still cares what they think. If they didn't, they'd just dismiss it or ignore it.

Some may think that this is not a good thing, but it is. In the longrun it's good when former employees say what needs to be said so they don't hold hardcore longterm grudges that can ultimately bite the former employer in the ass years down the road. Some of it may not sound so nice, but it needs to get out, and again, as long as it's TRUE and not just some bullshit slanderous thing being tossed out there to make someone or a company look bad, then it's perfectly fine.

yaa...stop putting down Toronto jerks!... Noone wants to move to crappy NY from T.O like come on :p .... ahh i feel much better already.

NYC is the business capital of the world, it only makes sense for azoogle to move their entire operation there. I live in Canada and I loved the fact that I could deal with azoogle because they had a Canadian office and I would be sad to see them go but I do understand why they might want to.

Good post Jon. I agree. The anonymous posters have already lost their job, why make them come out and identify themselves. As long as they are speaking facts and not slandering....:-)

I wish the 16 who were axed the very best in finding a new job.

Just for the record ...

Azoogle is still very much in operations in Toronto, there are nearly 80 employees there and others will be hired. Toronto is still considered our head office and has the largest portion of our staff. It would make no sense for us to ever leave Toronto, just from the tax advantages alone.

Plus, I can't imagine not having to go to Toronto to watch the Leafs play :)

Is that why you, joe, and randy gave up your condos or sold your houses, and is that why you didnt have the balls to show up and tell us directly why we were being let go. Also, if we were so valuable why didnt you make exceptions for us to move to New york like Anna, Jai, Mitch and Chantelle.

I think the answer to that is pretty evident. It sucks you lost your job, but focus on your future not your past. You will accomplish nothing focusing on the how-whats-or-whys of losing your job. As several people mentioned, get into affiliate marketing, you have a huge advantage.

wow, I don't know where to begin.
I am sad to say that I'm also an x-azoogler, and I was one of the 16 that was let go last Friday. A few things popped through my mind, and when reading these posts, I figured I should give my 2 cents.

First off, thought I noticed that something was happening, I didn't really see myself being terminated. Azoogle's focus is towards NY, and anything that wasn't Tech or Finance related is going to NY. Smart, since Adtech is in NY.

Was it a good idea to get rid of some of Azoogle's employee's at the beginning of Q4? I don't know. There are a lot of green employees in NY, and a lot of them are going to take a month (if not months) to fully understand the network. It would have been in their best interest to ensure that some of the xazooglers made their transistion as painless as possible.... (oh well, cest la vie, crash n burn). I would think for the next couple of weeks, the Affiliate Management Team and Sales Teams are going to be a mess, with the launch of 2.0, and with all the changes.

For those affiliates who think that Azoogle is going to downhill, no chance. If anything it shows that Azoogle has more money than they can handle. Why would you hire someone new in NY for a lot more money and less education (seriously, talk with some of these guys over the phone or through email, and you would really think that your talking with someone who dropped out of high school). Compare this to someone in Toronto, who costs a lot less and has a University Degree (well atleast I had a couple)?

If your still worried, don't forget Azoogle is expanding. They are expanding their NY office (if not already).
All is good in Azoogle.

Am I bitter? Not really, just peeved that I was replaced by someone who is slower than molasses (*karma*). I would have liked to have seen the NY Office and I would have loved to be there when Azoogle hit an amazing Q4. Plus being let go in a room with 8 others was the icing on the cake. (yep you read right, classy - so keep that in mind before you say xazoogler is whiny)

What will I do now? Either become an affiliate (as one poster suggested - though do you guys really need more competition?) and/or find something else before my severance expires.

I would like to thank Joe and Alex for the opportunity to work at AzoogleAds - they did start off with something great.

You guys got severence! Now that says alot. Employers do not have to do so.
As far as moving to ny, thats probably a wise idea. the laws in canada for business compaired to US are night and day. So is the taxation.

Now as far as letting people go like you all may have been. I can say I have been there. My wife and I were part of a .Com and we both were let go without severence, we found out the company had been pocketing our 401k plan and sup. insurance money. They never had my wife registered as an employee, yet took out taxes and pocketed that, and because of that she couldnt get unemployement. We had a 4month old child and were really scared. It was tough, and I almost threw the owner out the window of the 3rd story. But we made it through.

As far as work goes for you all. You as an aff rep, know all our secrets to earning income, all the tricks of the trade. Some of you Reps in the industry (though I am not accusing azoogle, they seem strait), actually use your inside knowledge to advance yourselfs alot.
You will do fine. Jump out there on your own and make some money.:angrysoapbox_sml:
