ok so I totally used up some time that I didn't really need to.

I went and found a quick few little wordpress tweaks the setup a double opt-in thingy.

All I had to do was first download a widget for wordpress.

Then enable php coding within a post. then add a 'function' thingy in the functions.php files for wordpress for the sidebars -- this creates a sidebar that isn't displayed on the wordpress layout.

Then I can call my opt-in from within any post or page using a simple php function call.

cheaaa buddy, gettin pro as fuxxx

good shit. Despite what many others will tell you, using pre existing code is a good thing. Learn as you go.

yea for real. The best part about this one is that is has all the other pages filled in. Like "comfimation page", "Thank you page", and all the emails and validation pages filled out and editable. Its redic and totally free. I love the value these people put out as a way to market their company. Its really very generous.

Man it would be so awesome to have someone looking over my shoulder to be like "This is good, but change this here like this. And check this cool thingy out to make your life easier..."

Right now its more like ready fire aim all the way. Just relying on the belief that my shit will never be perfect but high fine tuned with time so even if it 'sucks' at first I can always make it better.

Now I'm sending as much traffic as I can with leaving blog comments. I've been getting a pretty about an average of 15-20 views per day. I've got my other stuffz set up so its all about driving traffic for a while and then making tweaks.

I don't really like the feeling of "getting it wrong' because I feel like I can do so much more to ensure that my sales funnel is more effective. I'm going to keep driving traffic until I get an idea for what the CTR is and then tweak from there.

yea I'll make sure to listen to what my audience is saying and suggesting. I think thats what you mean. =)

TWO PEOPLE OPTED IN LAST NIGHT!!! WOO!!

only one confirmed though... gah! Still... 2 in one night! That surpassed my expectations by far because I literally just whipped up the lure page real quick.

traffic traffic traffic. Don't worry about tweaking the page now, you know it works. Focus on driving as much traffic as possible through organic rankings, social media, blog commenting, article marketing, etc.

I'm reading through a book called "Webcopy that sells" so I can improve the lure copy that I wrote up since I felt it was mad sketch even though people have been opting in (3 confirmed since the 11th)

I've been operating with desperate intentions to get people to buy stuff from me and make me money. So other than the posts that I put up really trying to give some good value out (to which I received 1 thanks for =D) I'd just be very aggresive in my approach. Basically writing copy with very exaggerated emotional words, placing adsense in spots that is obvious I'm trying to trick some one into clicking it...

stuff like that

and so I figured that I'd chalk up some principles to go by lest I succumb to such silly practices.

1. My job is to bring as much value to my audience as possible. They make it possible for me to make millions so it my job to protect them like a mother bear over its cubs (Frank Kern gave me the idea of the bear lol but it makes a lot of sense)

lol theres just that one guideline for me to remember so far haha I suppose with that in mind it will be easy to not look like advertising and be an aggressive douche.

anyways, I constantly need to remember why I'm doing this and continue to force myself to see the outcome that I want. To remember to at least make incremental progress each day and keep building my assets. To keep having the confidence that I'm going to accomplish what I set out to do - that its only a matter of time. Also to not get attached to anything I do and let the results speak instead.

Ok so i totally missed the "Know your product" part of this writing ad copy process. I missed a lot of parts lot.

I've went online to read about the products and invariable came across many sites trying to advertise for the same products. Its really annoying because trying to find any kind of real information that's not biased is kind of hard.

Its a waste of both the writers time and the customers time. fuckin' aye.

I'm glad I did some due diligence on researching my product a little because I found out that the vendor was not giving out refunds - despite the guarantee, and because he's not replying to anyone's emails. I've written him two emails myself already asking for an affiliate confirmation with no reply. So, I guess I'll have to chalk up my hopes and re adjust my formulas from 60 bucks per sale down to the other products with a more reliable and reputable vendor.

I don't want to be pushing for the 60 bucks and then have a ton of people asking for refunds from clickbank... besides that, I don't want to sell people shitty stuff.

I know what you are saying but I am glad you found these holes sooner rather than later. First thing to do when promoting a product is to find as much information out there, how other people promote it, how the consumer sees it and what the creator says about it. If you do not cover these then you are going into this thing half blind. The majority of people who use clickbank only because it is easy. Plus a lot of consumers see the 30 day money back guarantee and think "awesome get what I want and get my money back", Of course there are methods to reducing the number of refunds with clickbank.

One that I really liked was offering free stuff until the window to refund was gone. Most people tend to view this as black hat but I view it as white as long as you give them relevant and useful content that helps them to use the product. I think whats his name Chris Farrel has an amazing support for first time buyers, so much so that when he offers another product for sale people jump at the chance.

Also maybe you are focusing too much on the commission. Maybe you might find doing a bit of affiliate marketing for Amazon easier. They have crappy rates but their goodwill/reputation puts the consumer at ease and thus more likely to buy.

Just a suggestion remember. Anyways keep up the work mate, it sucks that we gotta learn this the hard way but it's the only real way to learn.

I never really thought about refunds being an issue. I suppose that I have so many things to consider and research that I just put it out of my mind. This really is a lot of work. Thankfully I enjoy it!

As far as refunds go, I figured that as long as I don't mislead the consumer, the vendor has a good rep, and the product is legit, I should be fine.

I have a fantastic idea for one vendor to improve the sales copy for the product I'm writing for now. Only I'm not sure they want to listen lol. I guess thats a good thing though so I'll not being doing exactly what every other aff is doing and have a USP of some sort. Like a secret lil advantage. =)

I'm started to see how the "MTCP" thing is coming together. Thing is.. I only learned about Market and Traffic via one SEO strategy. I never learned anything about conversion or developing a product.

Now its like, affiliate marketing deals with putting together a strategy with MTC and someone else P- Product.

My focus keeps shifting to learn new aspects of each of these elements. At first is was all about market! Lots of psychology and what not. Then it was all about learning how to drive traffic traffic traffic! Mostly first with PPC, then SEO, then Article marketing.. ugh!

Then back to matching a product to a market, and then just sort of tossing the product at that market like "HERE, BUY THIS!" cuz I don't yet know that much about the C part. Conversion.... holy shit.

Realizing your progress is fuckin awesommeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ANND I just caught myself getting distracted AGAIN! Can you freakin believe it? It hasn't even been a month and after all my hard work on one strategy I don't even keep up with it to get the data necessary to tweak it properly. Instead I'm already coming up with a whole other plane... only its in the email marketing direction... NO. I've gotta stop this nonsense.

Giving this its fair amount of time is hard to do when you don't believe in it the strategy. hmmm... thats gotta be it. I've gotta be fair about it. I've gotta give it justice. I've gotta set up a time frame and standards for when to quit. If not I'll just quit after a week and move on to something else.

NO. I'm gonna files these other plans away and use what I've been learning to make what I'm doing now better (better in theory).

I feel like I'm losing time! AHH!! school starts up in august. I don't want to go back to school. its going to be torture sitting in class. FUCK

while going over my old ad copy I didn't realize how good it already was. I felt it as terrible since it was literally like a free writing with the tweaks I learned ad copy should have, like bullets and lots of facts and quoted stuff from authorties n what not.

I empoyed a few more devices and made it a little longer. it was 600 words before, now its 1000. Hopefully the devices I used will keep them reading.

Tomorrow I'm going to use my two checklists on the copy to make sure its optimal. And then I'm going to not do anything but drive traffic and monitor till the 25th. I supposed I'll see what happens till then.
