Just wondering how many keywords you were entering into 7search? It takes me more than 10 mins to input more than a few thousand due to the 500 word at a time limit.
Well, I have yet to use a keyword list longer than 100 or so words. Why you ask? Simply because 7search too often gives me the message that many of my keywords cannot be added because they "haven't been searched in the last 3 months" (!)

I have tried to paste in 500 keywords and stuff, but almost every time it rejects most of them because 7search won't accept it. Very annoying. So, I have stuck with small keyword lists so far.
What I do however - is make sure that the number of searches for all the keywords in my list adds up to at least 100 000. I use my own spreadsheet for this, and take the search data from the 7search tool (
7Search.com - Keyword Suggestion - Login)
you made 47 sites in different niches or all based on the same niche? I am assuming you aren't factoring in the time to do niche research
Those 47 sites were based around the same niche. The niche research is definitely the most time consuming when it comes to arbi, and yes - I have spent a LOT of time on it.
My current problem however though is this. With 7search, I seem to only find a keyword/niches that either...
a) ...has SUPER cheap bids, but abysmal monthly traffic.
b) ...has MASSIVE monthly traffic, but bids starting way too high and too much to be in the top #5
c) ...has cheap bids, AND decent traffic - BUT pays like crap with Adsense
What programs are you using for things?
For ppc research I use the 7search tool (as mentioned above). For cpc research, I use Keyword Country. Sometimes I use the Overture bid tool whenever Keyword Country comes up with nothing. For site generation I use YACG and SSEC. My first sites were also set up manually just using Dreamweaver and some hand-ripped content.
my problem was from the fact that when I generated my list of 5,000 KWs, there were too many KWs w/ 'receipe' in it... people lookin for receipes will not Click though! At least they didn't in my page. I deleted out all 'receipe' related KWs, and changed my ad copy to reflect buying the food instead of just how great the food is.. hopefully it works!
Yeah, I mentioned this to someone in another thread. It's very important to check your keyword list for dud or irrelevant words. It's just gonna be a waste of money. Even more important the bigger lists you have. Especially if you had them generated somehow and use copy/paste blindly.
I wanted to bring up the number of KWs everyone uses again...do you guys use highly targeted KWs, or just blanket tons of them related to your niche no matter how remotely? I personally have foudn that targeted KWs are better... but then again take much longer to generate KW lists! Thoughts?
Again, I rather use shorter targetted lists than enormous lists with chances of irrelevancy. So I do really thorough research for each niche (maybe too much, lol) and make sure all my handpicked words make sense for that niche and my ad.
Despite all my hard work and research though, I am still barely breaking even. Here is my stats as of yesterday:
7search campaigns: 15 (for 15 sites)
7search clicks: 59
PPC spend: $11.24 (avg. $0.19)
CTR: 32%
Adsense clicks: 19
CPC revenue: $11.83 (avg. $0.62)
Profit: $0.59
:xomunch:
ROI: 1.05:1
So this is for 15 campaigns / 15 sites so far. I simply haven't had time to create campaigns for all the rest yet. On average, this is how much time I currently spend with arbi for 1 site / 1 niche:
Niche research; 15-30 minutes
Keyword gathering / filtering; 5 minutes
Creating and uploading the site; 5 seconds
Setting up the campaign / write ad copy; 10 minutes
