Has nobody told you yet that there is no such word as worseless? (as seen in your sig)

Bad spelling is just bad. I can't take anything you say seriously with that glaring at me in the face.

hahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahaha - i love seeing this comment every couple of weeks.

You are worseless - use the search feature - it will enlighten you

hahaha, was thinking the same thing DanNicol!

Just read thru this thread this morning thru half open eyes. Great thread chrislingle! I think it's opened my eyes - something normally only coffee does at this time of the morning!

When doing arbitrage what best sites to go to get traffic to your arbitrage sites?

I know you have: 7search.com, searchfeed, adwords, what would some other ones that a pretty good?

OK OK, maybe the sig is written like that on purpose, that's what the acronym sic is for.... Said In Context, so, had it said-

You are worseless(sic) - use the search feature - it will enlighten you

I would have known...
I guess I just haven't read the entire board here.
So, in other words.... never mind.

I`ve got a couple of campaigns over at 7search...one arbi and one aff.
The aff one hasn`t converted yet (only 57 clicks sent)
The arbi campaign has yet to get a single click after almost 4 days! I`m thinking my niche might be too obscure.Only 160 searches last month according to 7search

dillinger - what are you thinking? It is beyond me how difficult people make this, I am not getting on you but this is simple. find something that pays well and gets traffic. DON'T USE 7SEARCH FOR AFF IF YOU HAVE HAD 57 CLICKS and no conversions either your page is bad, you are targeting words that are not "buy" words or you are using a 2nd tier engine to get aff traffic.
do some overture searches for keywords that have over $3 ppc up to space 3 or 4 create 1 page that has very general text you wrote with your main keyword in there enough to get the ads targeted to that keyword.
only display 1 adsense ad on the page next to your 150 to 250 words. have a header and a body that is it no leaks what so ever! before you get to this point though build a keyword list of a couple 100 words. make sure there is real traffic and you can buy the keywords at under $.10 if not move on to something else. if you have to target the USA specificly then go with searchfeed. this is not hard!

You'll never get a single click.
You hardly get any clicks for search terms with even 1,000 searches a month at 7search

Yeah I just wanted to try 7Search for an affiliate offer to see how (if) the traffic converts. No luck yet.It is a huge market though with cheap clicks for some reason so I thought it was worth trying.
The arbitration niche might just be too small.I'm starting around 10 new sites with bigger searches.
Thanks for the tips!

chris,

Thsi is a very helpful thread.

Are you evaluating Omniture SiteCatalyst or ClickTracks? I know both are very high-end and expensive.

Also, over time have you noticed a drop in your average Earnings Per Click on AdSense for your mortgae page?

thanks,

x

Links that you dont get paid for.

You want to make sure that people either leave your page by an ad, the back button, or closing the window. But not a link that your dont get paid for

would that include links to your other related arbi pages? (are those good or bad?) Like if you have several arbi pages targetting different keywords in a niche, should you link between 'em? or segregate?

Don't link them together! We are doing arbitrage, not SEO! Linking them together could make them look like a network and be penalized too.

Are you using Google or MSN for Aff?

chrislingle,

Are you using Google or MSN for Aff?

It sounds like you are bidding .60 CPC on your best keyword to keep the #2 spot on search?

At .60 CPC that keyword is low traffic and a has high conversion rate?

wf- only use searchfeed and 7search for arbi not aff- those are the only ones I am using for arbi as of now!

thx,

x

sorry I have been busy today and missed some of your posts but all answers up to this point have been corect in my most humble opinion. so to answer some specific questions -
xcentrix- I am not evaluating any of the stuff you mentioned. I have not noticed a slow decrease in payout for mortgage but I had the campaign down for some time longer than I wanted because I have only about 6 months programing experience with php and ran into some trouble. anyway since it has been back up the payout is up about 5% or so.
xcentrix your last question is kind of hard to answer. the keyword that I am bidding at $.60 is actually to a aff offer in the mortgage industry that has been doing quite well. that is not the norm for 7search and aff. the traffic is usually crap. I had planned on testing 10 to 20 clicks just to see. I usually do that with all arbi sites because I want to judge the market. this time it worked, this is the first time it worked!

So how is the new tracking software? does it show how well searchfeed people convert and 7search people convert? What is your CTR for searchfeed and your CTR from 7search?
