My 6 Week Old Chocolate Lab Has Parvo Please Help...

I want to take this little guy with me to ASW in Jan and make him a little Wickedfire sweater so everyone can meet him. One little roadblock, he will continue to be contagious for Parvo for 3 months-1 year. Dag nabit bob saget.

not great to bring dogs on a plane (they die pretty often)... and good luck finding a hotel that is not a piece of shit that allows dog

Here's one of my dogs from the pound that was getting put to sleep, the rest of the litter was put to sleep and looked just like her. They called me because I was in there picking up 10 other dogs for a rescue, and I thought she was cute, so they called and said she was up to be put to sleep that evening if I didn't want her:

Fuck your purebreds. Did you even get an AKC registration card with the puppy?

Plenty more where she came from.

Here's the other mutt I picked up from the pound:

Going to pick up the puppy now they are releasing him due to his rapid recovery and he's holding food down!!!! Yahoo!!!

The sum is irrelevant, just the action of giving is great enough. If just a fraction of the active members on this forum gave something then we would have way more than the needed sum. Unfortunately a lot of folks here prefer to talk a big game and keep quiet in these sort of threads.

Right now that $300 can impact that dog's life a lot more than it can impact my own life. I would end up washing it down on something retarded tonight that would probably only harm my own health.

A true gentleman and scholar.

I'm glad he's doing well.
If he can eat, that means the worst is over.

For the next time, if anyone would have same problems

mGrunnin is da boss, not just for the donation, but for his words.

Attention whore. If you want to donate that's up to you. He didn't say his wife would suck everyones cock that donated.

Has nothing to do with being an attention whore, just showing appreciation for the people that handled a broke fuck's responsibility due to his irresponsibility with money.

While I am a dog lover and have two of my own that I would be heartsick to lose, I'm not real overly sentimental about this kinda shit. When an animal is suffering, and believe me, a pup with parvo is hurtin, I would have to put it down.

Your situation was even more of a no-brainer. Got a refund? Coolio- return the goods and move on. Lotta dogs for sale, and all you're doing is burning cash and setting yourself and your wife up for an even bigger head trip when the pup kicks. Shoulda snapped this off clean.

And you other guys, pouring hondos into this shit like real ballers, I'm appalled. I mean we all love the kittehs and puppehs, but fuck. Invest your crusading energies where they will count, bros. Lotta hungry people and other good causes out there too.

PS: That Vet is ASSFUCKIN YOU HARD, "Winner".

Eh, a fatality isn't guaranteed. Most us at some point in our life will incur an injury that will lead to enough pain where euthanasia would seem the "easier" thing to do. But most of the time we don't do that right? We try to suck up the pain, get help and continue living on. We shouldn't make the decision for the puppy.

If the only thing that is separating the puppy from spending a great decade living or dying tomorrow is a couple thousand dollars then I feel it's stupid to not spend the money.

Regarding donations, I do a fair deal of donations to our agencies that involve people but sometimes with all the wicked shit I see people do, I want to give a little extra to the next animal. Best love that an animal/dog offers is unconditional love.

OP, great to see the dog recovering. Let's hope that he never falls victim to parvo again and can lead a life without pain. I'm sure several years from now you'll be remembering this day and thanking yourself for taking a leap of faith in saving your dog's life.
