My 6 Week Old Chocolate Lab Has Parvo Please Help...

How did he get Parvo? I had a dog get parvo and it was from the vaccination itself. They use a live virus to build up the immunity... I really don't remember all the specifics beyond that because I was about 10 when this happened. The manufacturer ended up paying for the entire bill and the dog was in there for over a month.

Fortunately, male dogs have a much better chance of survival... females don't usually make it. My dog was a female and barely survived. She never really grew afterwards and was about 6 months when she got it. She never had any major medical issues after that until she was old and lived to be about 10 or 11.

The Vet said puppies can get Parvo from anywhere and there are billions of Parvo particles in the air and could be anywhere. IT SUCKS.

I set up a fundraiser at giveforward.com here... Save My Chocolate Labs Life

If you want to paypal me directly and save the 7% transaction fee its lazychris@me.com, or call the vet office directly at 559-434-4000 and make a donation payment. Anything would be appreciated. He's the only puppy at the vet with Parvo. They nicknamed him grizzly bear.

Dude, you're being screwed.

Your vet is charging you $1,300 for a few litres of IV fluids and some electrolytes.

That's about $50 worth of medical supplies.

Get the supplies online (from a human medical supplier) and treat it at home

If you're not happy to do it yourself, ask a friend or family member who is a nurse, emt or doctor. It's easy to do.

(yes, I know it's not legal to treat your own animals in some states. Who gives a fuck?)

#1 after all the shit you posted when you first joined about wanting to leave your wife and fuck hookers now you get her a dog for your "anniversary" and it has parvo? Ever hear of karma? Secondly your email for PayPal is LAZYCHRIS?

I'd say the dog and wife both deserve better.

Good advice if it is a simple routine treatment.

I had a diabetic cat i the past that I treated at home. I think the vet wanted $80 per blood glucose test multiple times daily and even more for insulin injections.

I bought a blood glucose meter for about $12, 50 test strips for $20, 100 syringes for about $12, and a $100 bottle of insulin.

He hadn't typed that yet.
What are you talking about, that's a quote from the OP's first post.

The title of this thread is My 6 Week Old Chocolate Lab Has Parvo Please Help.

Of course he's asking for money.
