Police officers are now being trained how to deal with open carry activists

The cunt was baiting, he was not just carrying in a normal fashion, he was looking for a confrontation. He was carrying a gun that looked like an MP5, for fucks sake. He wanted to act like a complete douchebag and spout off court cases and humiliate a police officer. He's lucky the cops didn't blast his ass for being a tool box.

What part of legal do you not grasp?

He was carrying a camera because he knew the cops were going to fuck with him, the same way the smelly hippys do at their OWS protests or whatever else as they taunt the cops and babble about various rights, there is no difference at all.

Everyone baits the cops, and good for them. Fuck the cops, they are just normal worthless people like you and me, if people stopped sucking their fucking cocks off and bowing down to their great powers, then maybe they wouldn't get the idea that they are gods. Because they're not gods, they are C students with a badge and a gun. The only difference between a cop and a DMV worker or a postman is the cop gets to carry a gun. They are government workers and most aren't fit to run a fucking hotdog stand. Why people treat them like people who deserve some kind of automatic respect is beyond me.

I never said it wasn't LEGAL to carry what he was carrying. He was carrying for the EXPLICIT reason to get into a confrontation with a police officer so he could embarrass the "pigs" with his knowledge of his 2nd amendment rights.

He's a douchebag.

I agree with jcraig. This man's name should be submitted to Obama for the kill list, and then he should subsequently drone striked. Due process is served and this imbecile is taught a lesson for not licking the boot of those in charge.

If you want to live in a place that's an advanced version of the US without it's homeless people/guns problem, move to Singapore. ;)

If more people weren't scared to open carry, this wouldn't even be an issue. Society has made it to the point that carrying a gun around makes people gasp in shock. It's to the point that you can carry a gun and a video camera and pump out viral youtube videos like nothing.

"HOLY SHIT HUNNY, LOOK, A MAN WHO ISN'T A POLICE OFFICER CARRYING A GUN!"

Clearly the only people smart enough and competent enough to carry a gun is our genius law enforcment officers. Because cops aren't normal people in a funny uniform. Cops don't have mental break downs and kill people or do bad things. A normal peasant citizen is not capable or smart enough to carry a gun, we must leave that up to the professionals.

I'm far more concerned about a cop with a gun than this butt fuck with a video camera and a gun. This guy is out making youtube videos trolling cops with his gun.

The cops are out there with guns and that's their shit paying job. Ever wonder why someone becomes a cop? I hope you don't think the majority of them became a cop to "help people", because most of them didn't. Some became cops because they are fucking losers and that's all they have. Some did it because of the rush and excitement, some did it for the insane power it brings. None of those reasons really give the feeling of "Yea, this guy is probably an ideal candidate to give a gun and power to, he seems totally capable and stable."

Yes, he is. So are OWS protestors and god hates fags protestors, and most all other protestors. People are perfectly welcome to be douchebags.

This guy is exercising his right to troll and the cop is doing his job and then going on about his business.

If cops didn't like like faggots 99% of the time, these trolls wouldn't bother doing shit like this because there would be no payoff. Unfortunately this type of cop who doesn't overstep his boundaries is rare, so the trolls are out in full force.

I was going to write a long rant, but then I realized you fucking american's deserve every tragedy that's caused by these weapons.

And you and yours deserve the unimpeded tyranny that is sure to follow anyone with an asinine mindset like that.

While I agree with the sentiment that the people who open carry for the sole purpose of getting into it with cops are chumps...they did help the rest of us out. Cop are now being trained to not be reactionary dickheads and actually understand the law. I think the ends justify the means in this case. A couple of people look like conflict inciting idiots but the law enforcement community and general public becomes more aware on the legality of open carry.

This was embarrassing to watch if you're one of those open carry advocates.

Activist got pwned.

I cringed.

I wanna neg Crisis so bad but I am out of negs for today...

Where are you from anyway faggot? U mad that I got this at home?

So this retard was deliberately baiting cops by carrying a video camera and a gun down the street?

I'm dissapointed he didn't get shot in the fucking face.

There are a lot of people like this kid. Maybe it would be instructive to think about the reasons people are becoming increasingly hostile to cops.

Could it be because laws make it difficult to videotape them without going to jail?

Might it have something to do with cops using their badges, guns, and immunity from consequences to terrorize business owners for their own ends?

Could it be because cops are thugs and wantonly use excessive force? (The list of cases here is exceptional only in the myriad incidents it fails to mention.)

Might it be because cops routinely murder people?

Is it possible that people are growing angrier because cops carelessly lash out, permanently injuring innocents with no fear of consequences?

Here's a little sample of cop behavior reported in The Atlantic:

At around 9:00 a.m. on May 5, 2011, officers with the Pima County, Arizona, Sheriff's Department's Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team surrounded the home of 26-year-old José Guerena, a former U.S. Marine and veteran of two tours of duty in Iraq, to serve a search warrant for narcotics. As the officers approached, Guerena lay sleeping in his bedroom after working the graveyard shift at a local mine. When his wife Vanessa woke him up, screaming that she had seen a man outside the window pointing a gun at her, Guerena grabbed his AR-15 rifle, instructed Vanessa to hide in the closet with their four-year old son, and left the bedroom to investigate.

Within moments, and without Guerena firing a shot--or even switching his rifle off of "safety"--he lay dying, his body riddled with 60 bullets. A subsequent investigation revealed that the initial shot that prompted the S.W.A.T. team barrage came from a S.W.A.T. team gun, not Guerena's. Guerena, reports later revealed, had no criminal record, and no narcotics were found at his home.

These are not isolated incidents. They happen everywhere, all the time.

And now, a young jerk tries to make a cop look foolish (oh no!) - and does so peacefully, I should add - and you are "disappointed he didn't get shot in the fucking face."

What is wrong with you?

watches quite a few of his videos the other day. if you go back to his early videos you'll see why he's so quick to recite his rights, he gets fucked with constantly.

i don't know why people are making such a big fucking deal out of him exercising right to publicly open carry, do you not like your already dwindling freedoms?

Unbelievable, what an amazing response from the cop. He deserves some credit, hope all cops behave this way.

This kid has played a pretty significant part in this change in his state, cops know all about his ass and have been retrained to properly handle this type of situation.

oh hai,

today i shall wake up and act like i am doing something illegal just so i can end up being right and look smart.

i have no jobs and no friends except for other gun activests.

my hobbies are guns.

I agree. As someone who understands "the other perspective", I've become more and more disturbed by the growing reports of cop brutality and injustice. I'm definitely questioning whether I'm becoming a victim of media exposure or if something truly is fucked about the general behavior of our police force.

I'm a supporter of The 2nd Ammendment. That story about the former Marine in Arizona is infuriating, factual or not (not implying it isn't factual, just didn't double tap its validity).

But being a douche is being a douche. And this guy was a douche about it, and in an Internet full of cop-hatred, I have nothing negative to say about this officer's handling of the situation. Further, this video won't receive near the level of vitality that the anti-police videos get, and I think that is partially for good reason (why get a pat on the back for doing your job?)

But it's easy to forget that servicemen are just as human as you and I. Unfortunately, there are as many peweps among the police force (and the military) as there are affiliate marketing (or taco bell?)

I prefer law enforcement over the alternatives. People fall through the cracks though.

Soooo...... what does bad cops have to do with some retard kid carrying an MP5-lookalike and a video recorder trying to make a fool of police officers?

If cops are so bad and they are so violent and corrupt, he was willfully provoking a situation where he could have been killed by said bad cops.

I support the 2nd amendment, I support concealed and open carry but what I don't support are these douchebag college kids who think that open-carrying the biggest gun they legally can is some sort of righteous protest and an opportunity to highlight how inept our police are.

It endangers them, the people in the vicinity and the cops if the situation is not handled 100% perfectly. All it takes is that kid to make a small wrong move and he's filled (rightfully so) with a dozen hollow-points by police who fear for their safety.
