*Don't think 'affiliate marketing', think 'doing business on or offline in whatever creative way/shape/or form I can maximize' - M'ing is but one angle of thousands, at the end of the day - you're simply 'hunting for yourself'.

Amen bro... well said.

I think too many people think too narrow, or black/white. You're limiting yourself if you think you gotta do just one thing. As for me, internet marketing is such a broad term, and far from just limited to just the "affiliate" marketing portion of it. Think big. Dream big. And get big.

Is internet marketing a stepping stone to bigger things? To me, the answer to this lies in what your own personal goals are, and what you yourself would define as "bigger things".

If you're satisfied with a certain level of income from what you're doing, and if that's coming from just internet marketing - then cool! No need to reach for bigger things. (Note; you can certainly make good money as an internet marketer all your life as long as you stay persistent and work passionately at it).

But if you really want to push yourself and build out a big and "real" business with customers, then having the knowledge and experience from internet marketing becomes indeed a solid stepping stool to take that business past the competition.

Or - perhaps you want to start re-investing some of those IM profits into assets instead of hookers and blow. ;)

I have said it before and will say it again: Most businesses even out there today know too little about proper marketing, and the art of selling themselves. With a great background from the internet marketing world, we as affiliate/internet marketers have a big advantage if we want to start something of our own.

It won't last for life due to people helping noobs. For some reason when people make money "online" they feel the need to bring everyone and their dog in until whatever it is dies. Eventually there will be 5x, 10x, 100x, or even 1,000x the people running campaigns. It will kill ROI

Thus I why I prefer to flame noobs instaid of help them. I have owned programs, ran different things, been in different markets for about 14 years and it happens every single time.

it "happens every single time" because you are pushing FADS. its not noobs that squeeze out ROI, its good affiliate marketers that end up owning the market.

this has "happened every single time" throughout history. notice the gold rush of 1849 has died down a bit too. if its lucrative, people are going to jump into it and saturate the market. its not WF's fault. LOLz.

The gold mining would've lasted longer if people had shut up about finding gold.

The people who made the most money during the California gold rush were those who set up the towns and businesses. The next step was to get people to move there. So of course they were gonna be loudmouths and spread the word for their own benefit!

It's like the WaFo "gurus" that sell e-books about "How to make money blogging" or "Get rich through Affiliate Marketing". For them, the more the merrier! lol

Internet Marketing - maybe, probably
SEO - Hell no, too bad it's still the cheapest way to get traffic.

nah I'm going to become a ceo one day and make 10k a day, while fucking 10/10 chicks
