When you're out in the country. It's understandable that you wouldn't expect some one to randomly pop up the moment you're going to shoot an animal.
What I want to know is, why was the guy shooting at dogs in the first place, and why the fuck would he shoot towards a road. And how the fuck did he not notice that someone was jogging on said road?

Accident or not, I'd try to get him charged with wanton endangement unless he can convince you he did not realize your wife was in the area and in the direction he was shooting. Shooting at a dog means squat if he knew your wife was right there and demonstrated that kind of indifference to creating a dangerous situation for her.
