Wearing high-end brand clothing?

people who spend a lot money on clothes are usually ugly or super skinny/fat. if you're attractive you can make anything look good.

... no personality, still think they're in HS (maybe you are?), can't get laid, dick issues, etc...

for $3k a month or whatever you say your spending... get a condo in the Dominican republic ($800mn), fly out once a month ($800), and fuck the hottest bitches ($250 the entire trip).... oh, yea, you can wear a white tee and swim trunks the entire time... reconsider your flipflop game

If I have the money I am off for branded clothing that will lasts longer not high-end stuff. They are way too expensive.

Even how expensive your clothes are or how many blings you put on, at the end of the day, if your dick is small it is still small! It does not change a thing.

nothing wrong with spending 3k a month on expensive clothing that makes you feel superior to the broke peasants, unless you do it to boost your ego and confidence, which sounds like the case for OP.

here's a tip- spend the money on a trainer, gym, and diet.. then you'll actually be superior, rather than just pretending. old cheap t-shirts will be all you need to impress.

girls like a guy that looks effortlessly stylish.

Read your post again. You said people that spend a lot of money on clothes lack self esteem, you were wrong. Plain and simple.

Can't win an arguement, call the other guy a fag. Real mature, lmao.

Go back to rocking Uggs after you ride your rented jetski.

No, I was right. Go and read my posts again. Don't put words into my mouth, faggot.

I personally think people who buy too many branded stuff are low self esteem. They don't have confidence within them, that they have to buy confidence.

Nope, still wrong. I gave you two examples and I can give you a dozen more. People don't buy branded clothing because they lack self-esteem, just you. ;) and no I didn't put words "into" your mouth. I only disagreed with you.

How are those Uggs holding up?

Dude, women spend money on clothes. Men spend money on women. Get your priorities in order.

I shop: Walmart, Goodies, and Belk. That's about the extent of my fashion. If I like something and it's not expensive, then I'll buy it. All the designer shit is made in the same China/Korean/Vietnam factories as the lower-priced stores with the same styles just without the branding.

I don't want a woman's or guy's name on my clothes. About the only branding you will ever see on my clothes is a Polo symbol, just because I like the quality of the polo t-shits. Even then I only buy them if I see them on sale for 30-50% off.

Seriously, buy clothes when you have to and save the money to use elsewhere. I spend maybe $200-$300 a year on clothes, because I shop smart and know that everything on the shelves and tables is usually marked up 300-400%, and because I buy shit that is versatile and will last for a few years. $3k a month is just ridiculous. I'd rather take it and reinvest or put towards something more entertaining than how I look in the mirror.

This may sound strange, but I grew up pretty frugally and one of the things I'm looking forward to when I go back to the states is hitting up some thrift stores. You never know what you're gonna find.

My aunt loves going down to Atlanta a couple times a month and grabbing designer clothing for $3-10 that would have cost 20-100x that. Seriously, it's like an addiction to her.

All the people like the OP just toss last season's clothes on the thrift shop and buy more.

From reading this thread, it's easy to tell which members never leave their mom's basement into the real world. It appears to many of you that if you aren't shopping at Target, then you are a brand whore. Well good luck getting laid.

Yes I will admit I am pretty damn materialistic. I like wearing clothes that common people can't afford. It's the same as buying a luxury car. I like my clothes being expensive. Plus, when you spend over $500 for a hoody, you will treat it much better than something you paid $49.99 for.

Once you make more money, your standards raise for certain things in life.

If you pay $500 for a hoodie, you are either a woman or a homosexual.

No man in his right mind would hand over that much money for a piece of clothing that cost $5 to produce in Malaysia. You have a very skewed view of the world due to your bulbous ego that makes you seem important and above 'common people'. You aren't, at least we can get laid by our own merits instead of the logos on our clothes. Try developing a real personality with some character instead of covering up your empty self with expensive fabrics.

Correct for the most brands, but definately not all.

From your experience with the Polo Shirts, compare La Coste / Ralph Lauren and Boss and you'll see (at least my experience) that talking about quality, La Coste is far ahead after several months. Especially Boss disappointed me on how they look after couple of months.

Don't know which brands you're talking about, but it's pretty likely you'll get to know the difference when buying a portemonnaie for 400 by a brand like Louis Vuitton / Mont Blanc and buying the Walmart 30 bucks portemonnaie. Just as an example.

Same goes for bags of all sort / laptop bags etc. Compare the quality you get by IBM / the big fashion brands to 50$ shit. Wear them like 1 year and you'll see the difference. Quality has its price, not only cloves, same goes for cars. No way you can compare a Toyota / Mitsubishi to a Mercedes / BMW / Porsche.

Just what I don't understand is why so many people get angry at people spending money for expensive goods. They don't harm anybody nor do something wrong, so what's the issue despite envy ?

I get your points about buying expensive (its all relative) clothing but people that buy expensive clothes to impress girls = douchebags anyway. Axe bodyspray nahming?

I occasionally pay more at American Apparel because I don't like my clothes being made by 12 y/o kids in sweatshops across China. Or buy North Face instead of generic walmart shit because their stuff last longer, etc.

I'm pretty sure the presidents have like dozens of $3k+ suits. I feel like as long as people are not condoscending they can buy w/e they want y'know.

You can buy cheap chinese made cothing at walmart or you can buy it from hugo boss. You look a tool if you pay $500 for a hoodie that costs $10 to make and you look like a tool if you shop at walmart.

You can get custom tailored shit made by an old british man for the price of the name brands that are half assed garbage.

99% of the time I wear tshirts from Threadless graphic t-shirt designs: cool & funny t-shirts weekly! Tees designed by the community. and short/trackpants/jeans. Why? Because I can.

Do any of you guys drive nice cars? A luxury car like a BMW or a Mercedes? Do you want to walk out of that car wearing clothing you bought at Walmart?
My chariot, a 2007 Yaris. Come at me, bro.

My problem is I can't tell high end clothing from something that fits nicely and just happens to cost way less. Most people I know won't to be able to tell where you bought your white t-shirt from, or if the hoodie you bought was $500 or $50 unless they specifically were shopping in the same stores you shop in and know ~ how much it's costing you.

That, and some of the high end clothes are poorly made and often times don't feel much better than their cheaper alternatives.

With cars, watches, I can see spending more money on them because it's easier to tell that it's expensive and is more of an accessory piece than anything else. Usually the quality increases with price too, to a certain degree

The only expensive clothing I buy are bespoke suits. Ain't nothing like a suit that's made just for you.

My shoes = money.
My sox/undies = don't mind spending a premium/best brands (not most expensive, just best thread counts/longest lasting).
My mattress = ^
My day to day gear = Whatever fits and looks great - I don't look to bargain but I don't look at $3,000/month either, in fact maybe shop 2-3 times a year if that and just go all out.
Suits/special occasion gear = ^ Don't mind spending a bit.
Personal shit i.e. shavers/shampoos/grooming.. Best possible
Foods = Best possible (most healthy, usually organic, usually a bit pricy).
Entertainment = Comes and goes in phases, I'm 33 - did my bling bling days used to be a promoter/DJ (note - used to be fuckingggg broke, but still pulled 10's, clothes have fuck all to do with it, chicks love men with aspirations and goals and personality - being broke vs rich has no merit except on the type of women you get - not looks but what's inside/long term shit, shit that matters).

I do very well for myself, trying to define me or anyone by the way we dress or assume the type of life I must lead due to the logo's I do or don't support or sport = a huge douchey lol to you sir.

For basics I like Uniqlo.

Jeans I'm getting into raw denim

Dress shirts and jackets I get custom made in Asia

Looking good is about having a nice body, taking care of yourself, having clothes that fits, and knowing how to dress yourself.

Lol @ the OP trying to "buy" swag. Definitely trying to make up for his insecurities with money.

Personally, brands or cost mean nothing as long as you pull that shit off.
