Obama needs to look like a leader. By responding to Trump, Obama doesn't look like a leader. He looks like a follower who can be easily provoked by loudmouth reality TV show stars.
Also for the idiot who mentioned that Trump is changing the skyline of major cities. I'm sorry, but you're clueless. Trump is simply licensing his name out to third party developers who are actually constructing these buildings. Trump is nothing more than an empty shell, and you bought into the hype.
Like I said before, Trump is just a glorified Robert G Allen. Trump even sold the usage of his name to MLM companies. The man has no shame and will do anything for a buck.

Trump is trolling - with his lame challenge he's trying to use a more successful man (someone who got elected President!) to keep his own name in the news so that he can continue to be a "successful" reality TV star.

Exactly. If he responds to this, he creates a precedent for future requests which may be even more retarded. There's a reason why the whole 'we don't negotiate with terrorists' policy exists... it leads to bad precedents being set.
I don't see why Obama won't release his college records. What does he have to hide? Is to too much to ask of the guy who is supposedly going to (continue to) be the most powerful man in the world?

On the one hand, you have guys who are delusional about birtherism, and then on the other hand, you have people who are delusional about what the government actually is and does.
Everyone should expect 100% transparency from Obama. Instead, it's the usually name-calling and vilifying back and forth that characterizes political discourse.
When you run for President, you gotta know there is no expectation of privacy with regards to your past.
