Top 10 Best Web Hosting Companies?

The 2 that ive liked the most and ive used MANY are liquidweb (dedicated) & hostgator (shared)

Hi,

Can anyone tell me please the best 10 Web Hostings like Bluehost.com, GoDaddy, Hostgator etc.

Regards

It really depends on how much you're willing to spend. If you have the budget to buy vps or dedicated servers, that will need to be a whole thread (maybe even a whole section) about that. But if you're looking for shared hosting, there are many listed here. Also I have recently converted from being a Hostgator Fan  to a HostUpon fan A.K.A "HostGator Alternative" :D
True Hosting Reviews - HostGator Alternative Part 1

Bean using Media Temple allot lately. So far they have been great, the best I personally have used so far.

IX Web Hosting use to be a great host, was with them for years, though recently moved all my sites from their servers because of their slow decline into the bowls of hosting hell.

Host Gator sucks sucks .... but then again most of your bargain, host unlimited domains, unlimited bandwith, $3.95 per month hosts blow monkey balls.

You get what you pay for whether it be shared, virtual or dedicated hosting services. Stay away from any company pitching services that sound to good for the cost. Youll be left with a handful of reliable hosts to choose from.

HostGator (reseller)
LiquidWeb (shared or VPS)
HostICan (VPS)
Pair (Expensive, awesome, no problems in 9 years, shared)
KnownHost (VPS, Look at DP for discount)

Here's the deal, that list, yeah, I actually use them, right now. They have all been awesome to me.

Yeah Host Gator Is One Of The Best Hosting Company According to my friend he hosts his site there. He got a cheap domain from there also.

I was always happy with my reseller account at HostGator. I also like my current VPS with Wired Tree.

1&1 was the worst host and domain registrar that I ever used.

Totally Depends on What You Want

I've been a webmaster for years and built just about everything for people hosting just about everywhere.

I'm surprised at all the comments above knocking on bluehost because I've never had a problem however I've never built anything with adult content.

My Top 3
Dreamhost
Hostgator
Bluehost

My Bottom 3
1&1
GoDaddy
Rackspace (unless you have a really good server admin there)

i also second Mosso ( now rackspace ), nothing beats a good cloud/cluster set up that has load balancing for pretty much the same cost per month as a dedicated.

Ive been with a lot of hosting so I know a little about this topic. Here is who I have been with, and currently am still with, several of these companies for reseller or VPS accounts I use for different reasons:

Mosso ( rackpace) - cloud hosting has been great and so has there CDN for me as well. I was gonna go with Amazon, but I found Rackspace to be a simplier setup.
liquidweb - dedi and VPS
resellerzoom - parent company is hostzoom, awesome reseller accounts
bluewho - awesome support, reseller
httpme - awesome support as well - reseller
slicehost - VPS
wiredtree - VPS
linode - VPS
media temple - nice dedi's and support
vpsville - Awesome for vps i needed in Canada
VAserv/CheapVPS - Cheap VPS i needed for UK shit, but you cant do this if you a noob, no hand holding here.
Scalahosting - reseller account
Tektonic - spare VPS i use for testing

For shared servers:

Hostgator is good but they've overbilled me twice in the past 5 years .... my account is paid current until Feb 2010 due to this.

Zensix has been very good to me and has equal uptime/support as hostgator ... but is like 1/10th the price.

For dedicated: superb.net has been, well, superb although I've only been up and running for a few months now. 2 dedicated servers for $250/month. Not bad at all.

I've got a few I'd like to add to the 10 worst if you're comprising that list too

Bluehost is alright for the price. You get what you pay for. Aka downtime when your burning $s per second on PPC lol.

I personally have used ServerPronto since 2006. I like them quite a bit and they have dedicated boxes starting at $29.99. Can't beat the price. Support is fine. They do have paid voice support. Email and trouble ticket system works just fine for me though.

Good luck!
