The Walking Dead - Season 2 Starts Tonight!

There is a lot more shit that needs to be fixed on new rv/campers. They probably keep that one around because it is old and easy to fix.

And who the fuck would want to ride around on the motorcycle.

Hey there's a deer there. I should let my 12 year old son walk up to it. Nothing bad could happen.

well they are slower because this season has like 13 episodes i think? instead of the 6 or 8 of last season i think it was. So they have to slow it down a little which is good. More character development, but I agree that there have been some dull moments in the first 2 episodes.

Got a little concerned that they started ep 2 with a flashback - Are they gonna be doing more ala Lost to fill up the time? Hopefully not.

I watched this six-part webisode on amctv.com that filled in a little bit of backstory, and told the story of the torso that is seen in the series premiere (the one Rick tracks down and puts out of her misery.) That got me interested enough to queue up the first season on Netflix. It's ... ok. Kind of shitty dialogue, and the characters are making bizarrely bad choices in almost every situation in which they find themselves. As has already been pointed out, most of the characters are difficult to like (aside from crazy redneck dude, but I have a hard time looking at him and not thinking about his faggot character from Blade II)

I don't wanna sound like a hipster, but the comics are fucking 10x better than this.

If they stay true to the comics then the future seasons are going to be amazing.

They're going to have to do some serious backtracking to bring what they've done so far in line with the comics, aren't they? I have not read the "Southern Vampire" books but my wife is a huge fan both of the book series and of True Blood, and she says the two story lines are pretty divergent without one screwing up the other.

Here's a fun teaser: For those of you who have not read the comic book series, what do you think that Jenner whispered in Rick's ear at the CDC?

am i the only one who thinks Andrea is hot?

Nope. I used to watch The X-Files I started watching it just to get glimpses of Laurie Holden (and she was only in a handful of episodes.) I suffered through Silent Hill because she looked kind of dyke-ish in that police getup, and I was hoping for a lesbian seen with Radha Mitchell. So goddamned hot.

Broseph, do yourself the favor and get at least 24 inchers. They are all 1080p on mine and consequences have never been the same. The screen real estate is awesome.

If you're really after screen real estate and have the money to spend, get one of those 30 inch screens. Those things are MONSTERS. Nothing even comes close in terms of resolution.

A couple thoughts:

- How did the highway horde not smell them under the cars? It had already been established that the zombies rely on odor.

- Why didn't shane just shoot the fat dude in the head instead of the leg? Then at least he wouldn't have to be eaten alive.

- Where did murrell (or whatever his name is) take the van?

- Seriously get rid of the fucken Winnebago! There's got to be a more reliable mode of transport for godsakes. It seems like it breaks down nearly every episode.

Dale (the old guy) owns the RV. I assume he knows how to fix it better rather than some other random RV.

Really liked the last episode, at least we know Shane will basically go to any length to survive. Either that or he's willing to do anything to make sure Carl survives. It seems like he's really spent some time around Carl based on the way that Carl talks to him, in a way that he doesn't even talk to his own father.

In July 2011, series developer and showrunner Frank Darabont stepped down from his position as showrunner for the series. It was believed that he was unable to adjust to the schedule of running a television series, however, The Hollywood Reporter reported he had been fired. Executive producer Glen Mazzara will be the series' new showrunner.

That explains why it's not as great as the first season...

Live bait attracts more zombies.

psst.. Now I see.. The first season is far better. But i'm still watching the show

I like the slower pace, because it's exactly what I'd imagine for a zombie movie turned into a series.

Its starting to move on a looot slower now. I mean last nights episode was pretty meh...

*spoiler alert from last nights show*

-kid is ok
-still looking for the other kid
-glen gets laid
-1 zombie in the whole show
-ricks wife is pregnant (which was so predictable throughout the whole show so that 'cliffhanger' sucked compared to other episodes).

Really slowed down in that last episode but hopefully its building up to something more interesting than sitting on a farm all day.

1 zombie in the whole show...now it's a series. bah still going to watch though.

Hope it picks up, 1+ for less drama & more zombies
