"The Walking Dead" premiere tonight on AMC



It was like a low budget 28 days later set in the town of Jericho. Not bad. Could use a bit more realism. Not nearly enough looking around corners. Also, a fucking tent village? Are you kidding me?
 
Opening this thread I was kinda hoping this would be a documentary about 9-5 cubicle workers waking up and doing cool, entrepreneurial shit.

Zombie tv series? meh.

i thought '28 days later' was cheap and boring. i felt asleep watching that one. honest.

walking dead is way cooler. see how much effort they spend on just 'one' zombie. for a tv series, it's fucking good.

great episode.
staying true to the comic and i have a feeling a lot of the typical zombie movie people probably jumped off the bandwagon last night.
supposedly the 1st season will cover the 1st graphic novel book. going to re-read it tonight and see where it is going to finish off.
 
ya this show is awesome. Im a big zombie fan and got damn excited when I heard about it coming out. I watched both episodes last night at Watch The Walking Dead if you're looking for somewhere to watch it
 
Saw the first one twice over the weekend, awesome stuff. Will be catching up on the second episode tonight. Definitely has that I Am Legend feel to it, mixed in with Jericho (awesome series from a few years ago, only was 2 seasons before it got the axe). You really feel like you're in the actual film, especially the scene where the guy wakes up (love the no dialog).

I thought overall it was good but whenever they cut away and start setting up the love triangle sub plot my interest immediately plummets. I agree with some earlier posters about how crappy the actress playing the wife is.
 
i re-read the 1st graphic novel book.
providing you haven't read it and they are stopping there,
you will be surprised at how the 1st season ends.
definitely forgot about how it ended.

i knew it was renewed before season 1 was even started. 13 episodes should cover up to the end of Graphic Novel 3 i hope. it will get slow at some part but it does pick up and is enjoyable.
already stoked on season 2 and we have 4 more episodes in season 1.

Pretty good. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out after a few more episodes.
 
episode 3 was pretty boring, can someone tell me why did Merle Dixon cut off his hand instead of the rod? i can understand if what he got was an axe or machete but a Hacksaw?
