Hey man,

Nice, pretty, white-labeled reports would be quite valuable to consultants, who happen to make up a significant portion of the market for a product like this.

They're coming, it requires a different layout system to make them appropriate for PDF. I'll post updates soon.

Just print with a pdf creator. As long as the page layout can be customized your problem is solved.

yeah there are quite a few more nuances than that. Graphs need to be customized specifically for rendering, all of the animations needs to be killed to display all the data at once, and PDF generation requires an internal browser on the server to capture the page into a file.

I should have it ready before this month is up, just need to get to the point where I can bang it out. Keyword discovery will be launched first though, most likely tomorrow.

Damn can't believe I haven't been subscribed to this thread.

Was just talking to dchuk about a little number rounding question (nothing important). We got to chattin, and basically, my quote here sums it all up:

i don't know what the fuck i was doing without it [serpIQ], in fact

Seriously. Not a day goes by where I'm not putting all sorts of random crap into this tool and finding new projects that I want to start.

Thanks man! Always appreciate working on things with you and discussing SEO ideas.

Glad to hear that Adwords API is being put to use.

Yep, it's plugged into the keyword discovery module currently, which will be going live tomorrow. Just need to dot my i's and cross my t's tonight on a few aspects of it.

I have to say that SerpIQ has no competition lol. I work on a variety of projects and SerpIQ has helped me analyze keywords and competition with out the hassle of using 4-5 different tools.

SeoMoz,Traffic Travis, Market Samurai - is R.I.P in my opinion

Yeah, MS was good but too slow.

Here's my current SerpIQ feature request list:

1. Domain Age (I think D's got this about ready)
2. # Edu Backlinks
3. # Gov Backlinks
4. Bulk Import - Perhaps queue them up at a lower priority than anyone else's live stuff, and run them overnight.
5. Google +1 just because

After SerpIQ has as many metrics as are feasible (like my top 3), Dchuk needs to get some statistician geeks to run a crapload of the data with an app like minitab and find the most important markers. I think there will be some surprises in there.

1) My domain age code is done, I'm waiting on the API to be moved to a server that can handle heavier load. It's not my API, but I'm told it will be ready this week. I just need to flip the switch after that.

2 & 3) I'll look into it

4) low on the list currently, the low priority queueing is interesting though

5) +1 is in there now :)

Keyword discoveries going live today at some point, just buttoning things up.

Announcing the Keyword Discovery Module

Keyword Discovery was the next major feature I've been dreaming about adding to serpIQ for a long time now. I am just plain bored with all of the tables and boring text that ALL other keyword research tools provide. So I built this:

Analyze a keyword just like you do in the Competition Analyzer. The system queries Google's API to get 100 related keywords (or as many as Google responds with, less with long tails) and then looks for available .com, .net, .org domains. Keywords usually take about 30-60 seconds to fully process, depending on the current work load.

You can use the filters at the top to visually sort the keyword blocks down to the criteria you're looking for (like above, where I've filtered down to all .net domains with over 1500 exact match searches per month).

Once you've found keywords you want to analyze the competition for, hover over the block and click it. A popup will show up, just like in the competition analyzer. Fill in the details and click submit.

You'll then see a little checkmark indicating the keyword is being analyzed (in the background) (like a boss).

Flip over to the competition analyzer, and you can see the keyword being analyzed. BOOM.

This is version 1. I intentionally kept the scraping limited here to make sure things scale appropriately. I'll be adding more details and analysis in the coming weeks as I watch things to make sure they're good.

Take it for a spin, send over feedback. Thanks!

PS: There's a possibility stress testing will beat up the system a little bit. I'll be keeping an eye on things and adjusting accordingly, all I ask for is a bit of patience in these first few days.

I got to test this out a little early. This shit will blow your fucking mind. I currently have a list of 10 sites I plan on building out which has the opportunity to net me a couple thousand bucks a month. I don't know why he isn't charging more for this to be honest.

Thanks man! Glad to hear you have some new campaigns because of it.
