He's not in the minority if he's from the UK. Religion, I'm pleased to say, is largely ignored by most here. It's in no way a part of life, tv, media, politics or any such shit. It's locked up and told to remain quiet out back somewhere, like it should be. It's not mocked, because that could be considered rude, but it's most certainly dismissed by the majority and I know of no one that believes or attends church. None of my friends have even christened their children ffs.
I only wish Tony Blair hadn't been such a cock as to be a believer and fund religious schools. If he hadn't I think the Church would largely have ceased to exist within the UK in my life time.

As usual you cherry pick, for one thing that poll is nearly 10 years out of date, and for another thing until recently most people in the Uk would say they were christian even if they had no belief in god, thankfully this is starting to change. Check this out for some more current statistics:

Much like BluuueJammm says. Most or many still tick the box on forms as Christian or subscribing to some other inane religious badge, but that's far from an admittance of religion.
I think if you were to ask anyone in my family what their religion was they'd say christian or church of England, yet my family are all as amused by religion and the church as anyone I know. For as long as I can remember it's been considered, by most, more about what religion you were christened as, not whether you think an omnipresent being cares about your empty little insignificant world.
If someone is a believer then nothing will change their mind... there's no point arguing about it. Some idiots on a forum aren't going to convince anybody their belief is a waste of time, if it helps them get through life then fucken let em believe.
