SeoDave's Guide to Generating High Converting Zip/Email Submits

Step 3: Setup a quick one page (multi page if you want to put up privacy/copyright/about pages) site. The key here is QUICK. Don't go complex. THis is easy. This website is truly a case of KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid). You should put this together in no more than 30 minutes. Use the keywords you scraped from the news article and run a poll based around the news topic. Try to make it a very easy yes/no question so that you don't confuse your audience and drive them away. Have the poll setup around 2 buttons (Yes or No, Now or Never, etc). Have both the buttons take the user to your zip/email submit.

SeoDave,

How do you make sure that your page won't get nailed with $1+ keyword bids at the very beginning of the campaign when using adwords? You example page looks like very little content, just curious about how you got cheap clicks for so long.

Thanks,
Grant

Awesome example of finding cheap traffic in high volumes. The idea is a saturated one but if you jump on it first you can make some decent money for a few days.

Thanks for the info. I am going to try this out but I did have some questions. With the Vias zip submissoin where do you sign up for affiliates like that? (To use zip/email). Could someone possible explain that a little more detail. I have my affilate account with CJ and Linkshare(i have been unhappy with linkshare's results lately) but I haven't seen anything where i can do the zip or email. Any info would be great.

+rep, thanks for the example of a real life practice this is given me something new to lookinto.

Great post SEoDave , I remember doing this when what's his face got fired for saying nappy headed hoes.

Ive been thinking of the exact same thing but wouldn't it be an incentive if you ask people to vote and get something? Other than that the idea is awesome.

awesome post... here's a topic (don't have time to do this) "tony snow resigns"

I've got a freebie for people too, since I won't be able to get to this one this month. Right now Kanye West and 50 Cent are both about to release albums. How can you capitalize... HMMMMMM. Both have released the names of their albums. There is a lot of rivalry over who will sell more. There is a lot of rivalry over who is the better rapper. Who is more "gutter"? Who is the better musician? Who is going to outsell the other?

50 cent said if Kanye West outsold him, he'd never release another single album. "Do you think 50 Cent will really stop rapping if West outsells him?"

I'd also like to point out that you can think outside the box with this. I used PPC, but I showed this method to a friend and guess what he did? He setup a page based around "Floyd Landis". Floyd Landis is a bicyclist who was accused of taking steroids. He setup a campaign that said "Do you think Floyd Landis Takes Steroids?" He used PPC also, but he went a step further. HE joined a few message boards about bicycling and bicycle races and started a few threads about Floyd Landis. In his sig he had a link to his landing page. On one site he got 7 leads within 15 minutes of posting. So think outside the box and don't just get stuck on using PPC to get your leads - try to get email lists going of people who like these surveys and email them your landing pages as well. Try posting some on related forums... Sheeple are everywhere - you just have to find them.

great post.. thanks for the tips ;) also you can use zip and email submit so maybe in 10 people 1 or 2 fill the 2 offers ;)

Could SEODave or mkrongel answer this question? Where lies the exact definition of 'incentive'?

I know "Click this to support this site" or "Sign up and I'll give you..." are examples if what NOT to do, but is asking for a vote (tallied or not) an incentive?

Let me guess, ask your AM! :-)
