Presidential Debate Part II

We'll see if my 18-year-olds have anything to say about it tomorrow - I consider them fresh meat for this sort of political spin and jargon. I'm too jaded to take any of it seriously.

I'm wondering how many people are really left in the "undecided" camp after all of this drama. At some point it's just a sad testimony to our population that this is what is necessary to choose a president - must we pander to ALL interest groups and factions in a single sentence? Seriously.

I'm curious to see what the total voting numbers turn out to be regardless of winner - how many people just threw up their hands and went back to Facebook and Angry Birds rather than even pretending to care this time around?

But Charles! They only put those there for his safety! :anon.sml:

A couple of my pals were quite badly assaulted in a city centre and they were only able to get a conviction because of CCTV.

Tell me what the negative side is to this?

We should put cameras in people's homes, so we can document cases of domestic violence.

That would certainly increase the conviction rate, and protect a lot of people from their abusers.

It's all about who MAY be in power sometime in the future. Sure the government in control at the time used that data for good, but what if Palpatine incarnate is in power next?

All data you allow the government to collect about you can and will be used against you in a court of law... Or a possible Drone strike, now that the NDAA is in effect. :thumbsup:

hm let's think here..

(1) Walking while texting. That's an awesome way to get more $ into local governments. Yeah, they actually have laws in a few cities against walking while texting.
(2) Swearing in public. Again, they have that bullshit already.
(3) {insert any fucking insane law that could be used against peaceful citizens to further extract money}
