Never understood the immigration hate. Want less immigrants?

Have more children.
- Immigration regulation in every country is based directly on making sure the country has a steady population growth rate. If nationals are not having enough children and more people are dying than being born that represents negative growth. Immigration balances it out.

Why do most people who are worried about more immigration NOT have more children?
- Kids are expensive and people want to keep their cushy lifestyle
- People are increasingly career oriented and put off having kids till later and later.

When immigrants come to any country they tend to have more than the average amount of children. Why? Because places like the UK and Canada are excellent places to live. Each of those children have an excellent chance of being successful and in turn providing for their parents.

My dad immigrated to Canada from St. Vincent and my mom immigrated from Jamaica. My dad is an engineering professor and my mom is a hospital administrator. They had 3 children of which I'm the youngest.

- Oldest sister finished her Ph.D at 28.
- Other sister just finished her Masters
- I sold my first company at 22 and am now moving on to my second.

We immigrate to succeed. Obviously people in the country we immigrate to who are NOT making the most of what their country has to offer are going to be pissed. Hey that's life. Bitch a little less and have more kids.

However, I think Canada is a different story. In my opinion Canada has had the most successful type of immigration in all western countries. They pick the cream of the crop only (for the most part). You need a higher education and you need to speak fluently either English or French to be accepted. Ask your dad and he'll tell you that he had to go through several interviews and wait a long ass time to be accepted. It's called selective immigration. We have very few refugees and illegals here. Also, we don't have a "Green Card Lottery" lol

Another MAJOR factor is that we're far away from poor countries. No one can just hop on a homemade boat and come here. Unlike the U.S. who get TONS of illegals and refugees who can practically just walk or swim to the border lol... France, Spain and Italy have the same problem, but even worse. Africa is only like 30 minutes by boat LOL

I was watching some UK police reality show recently like "Cops" in the U.S. and they stopped/charged a guy just for sticking his middle finger up out of his car window on the highway. I believe they called it a violation of the "Public Order Act" which -joe- mention above.

I'm as disgusted by this woman's comments as most here. And I'm not under the notion that free speech should be guarded at all costs. For me, the key is to privatize everything. Then, let the owner of the property deal with it in a way that suits his goals. Just as you control what is said in your home, so too should the owner of the rail set expectations regarding the accepted behavior of passengers (customers).

The alternative is to let politicians decide what can and cannot be said based on their own prejudices. In such circumstances, liberty is never granted. It is eroded. Always.

Just because I tip well doesn't fucking mean I want to be on the roach wagon with poor people. I grew up poor as fuck, there is nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, glamorous about being poor or being around poor people. If this were the US I'd agree, but in the UK they would have actually done the same thing. They don't have free speech rights there. If they do have some sort of free speech rights it's nothing like here where we protect offensive speech, because non-offensive speech doesn't need to be protected.
