As for your last paragraph, I do understand you. Most of the things done in the name of God (by the world's leading religions) have actually disrespected, slandered and dishonored God. Even in Jesus day, the religious "leaders" were the ones that were looking to put God's actual son to death (how's that for irony?)...
Still happening today. And according to your bible (old testament, which is the same god unless he changed his mind) a lot of what goes on is sanctioned by your god. Funny how the advent of Jesus turned god from a jealous and vengeful god to a loving and forgiving one.
As for your first paragraph, lulz. Did you know that God's word foretold the destruction of what was known as Babylon, Babylon was the most powerful nation in the world at the time, the scriptures even foretell WHO would be the conqueror nearly 200 years in advance.(Persian king Cyrus) AND regarding Babylon at Isaiah 13:20 it foretold the nation's permanent desolation when it says "She will NEVER be inhabited, nor will she reside for generation after generation. And there the Arab will not pitch his tent, and no shepherds will let their flocks lie down there."
Isaiah 14:22,23 " I will sweep her with the broom of annihilation"
You and I know that former World Empire and Great City of Babylon today as The Ruins of Babylon. Cool fairytales in that book.
Sorry but I haven't got a clue of what you're talking about and don't know how it pertains to talking snakes or ships that warp space time (A la Tardis for all you Doctor Who fans out there).
Quoting from your bible and even telling me which page you are quoting from makes as much sense to me as someone telling me what Lord Voldermort said to Harry Potter on Page 151 in the latest JK Rowling book.
