Peanut Butter - The Atheist's Nightmare

As for your last paragraph, I do understand you. Most of the things done in the name of God (by the world's leading religions) have actually disrespected, slandered and dishonored God. Even in Jesus day, the religious "leaders" were the ones that were looking to put God's actual son to death (how's that for irony?)...

Still happening today. And according to your bible (old testament, which is the same god unless he changed his mind) a lot of what goes on is sanctioned by your god. Funny how the advent of Jesus turned god from a jealous and vengeful god to a loving and forgiving one.

As for your first paragraph, lulz. Did you know that God's word foretold the destruction of what was known as Babylon, Babylon was the most powerful nation in the world at the time, the scriptures even foretell WHO would be the conqueror nearly 200 years in advance.(Persian king Cyrus) AND regarding Babylon at Isaiah 13:20 it foretold the nation's permanent desolation when it says "She will NEVER be inhabited, nor will she reside for generation after generation. And there the Arab will not pitch his tent, and no shepherds will let their flocks lie down there."

Isaiah 14:22,23 " I will sweep her with the broom of annihilation"

You and I know that former World Empire and Great City of Babylon today as The Ruins of Babylon. Cool fairytales in that book.

Sorry but I haven't got a clue of what you're talking about and don't know how it pertains to talking snakes or ships that warp space time (A la Tardis for all you Doctor Who fans out there).

Quoting from your bible and even telling me which page you are quoting from makes as much sense to me as someone telling me what Lord Voldermort said to Harry Potter on Page 151 in the latest JK Rowling book.

LULZ, once again broham. Believe what you want to believe, free will homey... You got it.

wow what a ridiculous video, could be party due to the fact that the peanut butter isn't getting blasted with lightning strikes while being present on a planet changing from a very warm to a cooler climate and ermm enough amino acids and energy present.

Atheists haven't adopted the theory of evolution as a supposed means to disprove god, the god squad debunk their own religious views by denying evolution and championing creationism. The people in the middle say that everyone is entitled to their views and there is no right or wrong, but they are mistaken there is a right and wrong and all of the evidence points towards evolution and NO evidence points toward creationism.

Belief alone does not make something so no matter how hard they/you want it to.

P.S. Those videos are ridiculous and do not follow any train of logic thought. The stupidity astounds me.

Of course lots of athiests use evolution to try and debunk god you can't really dispute that. I agree tho, the majority of religious people are uneducated and really ignorant to things like science and evolution, they rely on "blind faith" and the word of the bible alone which doesn't cut it for lots of people including me.

You can be both a creationist and believe in evolution; god is WHO created all and evolution is simply an explanation to HOW it happened or HOW he achieved it.

Here's some interesting info's to look over:

Charles Darwin, by his own admission, was never an atheist. In fact his own words indicate that, at least on some occasions, he gravitated toward a belief in God. No atheist will ever mention this rejection of their cherished philosophy by the very scientist they idolize.
'In my most extreme fluctuations I have never been an atheist in the sense of denying the existence of God."
Darwin, Francis, The Life of Charles Darwin. London: Tiger Books,1995, 55.

Einstein was neither a practicing Jew nor was he a Christian. Yet, he recognized the power of the moral/ethical principles inherent in the Biblical religions. In contrast, atheists despise both Judaism and Christianity and would love to see both disappear.
“If one purges the Judaism of the Prophets and Christianity as Jesus Christ taught it of all subsequent additions, especially those of the priests, one is left with a teaching which is capable of curing all the social ills of humanity.”
Einstein, Albert, “Christianity and Judaism.” In Seelig, Cal (Ed.) Albert Einstein: Ideas and Opinions. New York: Three Rivers Press, 1982, 184-185.

THE FOUNDERS OF THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD BELIEVED IN GOD:Galileo, Bacon and Descartes were the founders of the Scientific Method as any credible resource will attest that they all believed in god.

Don't jump on the bandwagon and base your beliefs 100% on science alone... it's not smart. Every 10-20 years most scientific principles get flushed down the shitter and replaced with the newest theories. Who says the atom is the smallest particle... give it 50 years... :p

God loves Peanut butter.. Meet Joe Black.
Also peanut butter on banana look like a Anal Failure.

religion arguments on the internet are almost as retarded as mac vs pc.

Everyone is wrong because no one CAN EVER know if there is or isn't god, or how we got here, or anything. These arguments are moot. Enjoy wasting your time.

I vote INSTABAN for quoting Scripture on WF... That just shows a real lack of good judgement. :ugone2far:

And to 1yerrot: Whatever book that was written in was supposedly written long, long, long before the printing press in the 1500s, right? Don't you think, perhaps, this "prophecy" could have been told originally later, to be from before? People before the 21st century could lie too, you know...

Who says the atom is the smallest particle... give it 50 years... :p

I believe a quark is smaller than an atom.

When most people think of the universe being infinite, they probably think of it in terms of traveling through it forever and ever without ever reaching its end. But it is also infinitely small...as it is infinitely big. Relatively speaking, of course.

I'm talking about some Horton Hears a Who shit. Smoke a joint and re-read this and you will understand.

Yup. It's really intriguing how the solar systems of our galaxy look pretty much exactly like atoms of a much larger cell. In nature you can find that satellite-orbiting-a-Nucleus shape on many different scales. Total Men In Black shit.

Damn, whats up with all the haters on here lol.

Jesus, making atheists look like anal douchebags since 0 AD.

I'm sure this is extremely obvious to most, however their seem to be some people taking this seriously (or I'm not noticing the sarcastic tone).

a) holes in the theory of evolution don't discount the theory completely - we may just need time to work them out. And even if evolution is complete BS, how the hell does that automatically guarantee the existence of [insert arbitrary belief here]?

b) this video has absolutely nothing to do with evolution anyways. This is talking about abiogenesis

c) peanut butter's only proper use is for tricking your dog into licking your balls

Creationists = Faith in the good book
Evolutionists = Faith in a theory

LOL Faith LOL

Have to disagree.

Creationists = Blind faith
Evolutionists = Looking for proof and 100% open to other possibilities if they present themselves with proof

This is the difference between Science and Religion. Scientists couldn't give a shit if their theories have been proved wrong, in fact they spend their lives trying to DISPROVE theories (thats how science works). Yes, there is always push-back from mainstream acedemia, that is until rigorous proof is submitted, but overall the main thing that has really held science back is religion.

It is correct saying that debating religion is completely ridiculous (especially on WF) as the "believers" have nothing to fall back on except belief and can prove nothing, and it's close to impossible to get them to change their views short of re-programming them. What's the point?
