Ugh. I know nothing about the ramifications of that. I saw Aequitas has hannamontanapic - does the 'pic' vs plural make a difference?

Probably not but the chances of you getting cought with it are less then none in my own opinion. Plus think about the hundred thousand other sites online just like mine, theres, and there fans, all in some form or another break trademarks I don't worry about em all that much unless I'm working on a massive project.

If you're using a trademarked name like a celebrity or TV show, be sure to have a disclaimer somewhere stating that it's a fan site and not affiliated with the trademark owner in any way.

Many companies are okay with this as it really only helps their marketing / branding. Some get really pissy about it. Depends on who you're dealing with.

OK, solved it and did a writeup, here it is:

Nice. Put this in to action today.

K - thanks.

Good call.

Worst-case C&D and I take the site down?

For auto-blogs ... I'm assuming nofollow on the outbound links is a good idea? If so is there a good WP plugin to get er done?

i think wordpress automatically has Nofollow. But i'm not 100%, i know you have to install a plugin to make it DoFollow, so logic says.....

ANYWAY!

I've got a new script.
I saw a script on the Squirt forum and duplicated it to include Technorati, MSN, and Blog Pulse.

Click Here for instructions and code.

Your right Wordpress has an automatic NoFollow on all comment links but I'm not sure about post links you place in, I'll have to look that one up, it doesn't really matter one way or the other though.

Somewhat Off Topic

So I'm sure this is extremely noobish, but I'm asking anyways. Also I'd like to mention that for whatever reason I'm extremely inarticulate tonight, so I hope you can understand what I'm getting at... :error:

I've read and re-read a great deal of the articles/posts here, and needless to say, they've been incredibly beneficial. I'm feeling good about the progress I'm making.

My question stems from Jon's Enough Bullshit post. Getting a domain, writing up (or otherwise acquiring) unique content, QC, all of that I get. I'm wondering if (and if so, why) there is a benefit to having a single domain for one affiliate offer/company.

So: one domain, one product/service/whatever, vs. one domain, many offers. Like your one domain/one product is a killer landing page, but the one domain with many offers is something along the lines of a "service review" blog.

It seems to me that the "many offers" site would be easier to maintain and possibly gain conversions on other products the visitor didn't know existed. However, there could be some glaring issue that I'm totally missing.

I'd really appreciate any advice you guys have

SO FOLKS!

October is drawing to an end, which will signify my first month in RSS Scraping and Auto Blogging. Here are my results from Google Adsense.

I had a major lull recently after i had to remove one of my best feeds due to complaints. BUT as you can see its starting to build back up. And i'm holding that one $20 day in high regard!

Keep going folks, anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

(I'm not entered in the challenge btw, just wanted to share the stoke!)

:D:D

 They don't leak SEO fluid?

Autoblogs are fun and easy, but they still require a certain amount of technical skill that some people are having difficulty with (as evidenced by my PMs) so I wanted to throw out a couple more ideas for you.

1. Pr0n - Xtube
Tools needed - strong stomach, video editing software
Cost - none
Pros - Free, relatively simple, gets you lots of exposure
Cons - Porn converts very poorly. Between 1:600 and 1:2000 generally. So you need a lot of views
Summary:
I wrote up a tute on this a long time ago (really entertaining thread too). If you are interested in promoting some adult sites, this is a cost effective method to do it. Here's the short version of the tute:
  1. Sign up on Xtube
  2. Get yourself some adult sponsors
  3. Download their free content (only videos, don't bother with pics)
  4. Cut / splice the videos into 30 - 45 second chunks
  5. Upload, wait about 3 days for them to show up on Xtube
  6. Repeat 4 & 5 daily. Try to upload 3 - 5 videos per day.
Oh yeah, and with the right niche you can get thousands of views per video per day! No kidding. I uploaded a couple new vids a few days ago, and each already has over 12,000 views! Just have to find your niche.

2. Parasite Hosting - Wordpress.com, Squidoo.com
Tools needed - brain
Cost - none
Pros - Free, start with PR and links
Cons - Less control over monetization, plugins, etc
Summary:
Using a free blog account, you can get some practice at blogging and blog monetization without the risk or cost of having it hosted on your server. Plus, you can often get a site that already has PR and backlinks! Not sure how? Here's how (warning: requires your own hosting and setup) Anywhooooo.... Moving right along.

3. Free Webhosting

Tools needed - FTP client possibly
Cost - none
Pros - Free
Cons - Often has ads embedded on your site
Summary:
There are a lot of free hosts out there, find one and try them out. Some allow you more flexibility than others, but they all limit you in various ways. Here are a couple:
  • Google Page Creator
  • GoDaddy - when you buy a domain they'll give you free hosting, but there are ads across the top
  • Kinghost - Adult sites ONLY! This is one of the few free hosts that almost all of the TGPs are cool with. Even TheHun is cool with Kinghost. They do put a couple small banners on each of your pages though.
Hopefully this helps. Feel free to add to this list of ideas. I just wanted to present some other options to the autoblogs for those that are still kind of on the fence. :D

I've made ~$16 since the 16th or so when I started advertising my site's revamp. I'm getting about 500 uniques a day now on that site. But, I've only got that site, and another site that's not really monetized, so two sites = just testing the waters.

However, I'm working on something that will allow me to deploy sites quickly and easily, and November should be a much better month.

Nice! Good to hear about your success so far!

Keep it up, you'll do well. :D

Bam bam,

How many autoblogs are you running? I've had a few running for a week or two now and I'm only making about 10 cents a day on each one.

I think i have about 10 or so now, but only one / two actually get any adsense clicks.

I really should look into killing those that don't.

Are you using WPmu for that?
Also:
Can I assign different themes to different WPmu blogs? Anyone?

Thanks,
::emp::

Can I assign different themes to different WPmu blogs?

I just tested Emp and yeah ... AAMOF I'm doing the opposite and I have to go explicitly go set my theme for each subdomain blog.
