How long should it take to ping 2000 URLs? I've been running this software for the past 12 hours straight and I'm only 15% done at 2 sec delay, 100 threads, 300 proxies. Also, why does pinging 2000 URLs require 190k pings (sorry I'm an idiot)?

If you turn up your # of threads (my PC can handle 400 with no problems) then you'll see it go MUCH faster than that. I use mine fore DFB too and easily get 6000 urls a day processed using MP + PF... Sometimes in as little as 6 hours at 400 threads x 4 second delay.

The reason it makes 190k pings is because it's not just using one ping engine. Read more about that in your readme file, you can customize where you ping. (Although I have not bothered to do so.)

I use mattseh's Proxyfinder app (sold elsewhere on this forum) to grab something like 50-150 public proxies constantly for use with this. -I've never tried with private proxies before but if they are fast, I'd think ten will do albeit slowly... One way to find out, eh?

This is up to your SEO strategy. Don't bother with titles if all you're doing is getting thousands of forum profile links indexed.
 
For the failed.txt why isn't it in a format where we can rerun it through the pinger to reping? Makes sense because we want to reping all the failed urls

Thank you for providing this program. I've heard good things and committed to the purchase earlier. I have received the automated emails and downloaded the zip file.

I run a Mac and have Parallels installed. I use a few different IM programs with it without problem. When I try to run the .exe from the desktop I am getting this error:

\\.psf\Home\Desktop\MegaPinger.exe
This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

I understand this is an issue with Parallels more than an issue with your program. I was just wondering if you or any one else reading this has encountered this issue. I fail at this sort of thing.

Pretty sure I answered this by email, but in case I didn't and to help others, you need Download details: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) installed.
 
Still love this tool. Would like to see an update to it. I notice when I try and stuff more than 1,000,000 URL's in it, it chokes and dies.
 
Well, so far it seems easy.

Downloaded the prog' ran it entered the reg' code, pasted in 250 URLs, added titles, downloaded a list of free htp proxy servers and pasted them into a text file, set the prog' to find it and set it to 100 threads, then set it going.

I can see from the time it has taken to get to 10% that it will probably take all day to finish.

I'll post back if and when I get some measurable results.

I get this for an error

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "MegaPinger.py", line 274, in <module>
File "MegaPinger.py", line 135, in __init__
IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'services.txt'

when I try to run the program then the program shuts down. Can any one tell me why and how to fix this problem any help wold be appreciated thanks

The zip includes a file called services.txt. Make sure you decompress all files to a folder, then run the exe.
